Default Anyone else have trouble with their 860 spare tire mount?

I had to cut about an inch off each side for the mount to fit in my 1994 Trans Am. I also had 2 holes line up on the jack when the instructions said only 1 would, and then when I drilled the holes for the flat part they didn't line up either. One hole drilled fine but the other went straight into the bracket for the rear bumper and I had to drill another to the side.

I'm sorry to hear that you had so many problems with the product. I just checked some of the other brackets we had in-stocks demensions and they are all inspec with what the build sheet says. Do you have any pictures that we can go off of to see what all you had to do to get it to fit?

Here is the whole thing finally in!

And here is a few pics where you can see how I cut it so it would fit. I couldn't get the pics from under the car to come out. I'll try again later but believe me when I say it went straight into the bracket for the bumper and I had to move it over. Maybe my jack is different? I don't know but like I said I had 2 holes from the bracket line straight up with 2 holes on the jack so I put them both on.

Well it did get rear ended a few years ago but it wasn't a horrible wreck. I guess it could have been enough to shift things over but I ain't a body man? It wasn't even a direct hit to my car, it was a hit to my moms van and it rolled forward and hit my car. Just barely cracked my taillight and put a 1" hole into the back bumper. Like I said it could have been enough to shift it though. I completely forgot about it until you all reminded me...thanks alot! Anyway its cut and in now and thats what matters. I just wanted to see if anyone else had trouble.
