Default need opinions on buying the best kit for my ls1 nova

hey guys im looking to buy a kit for my nova. ive been racing the car on local 1/8 mile tracks running 7.40s with my setup right now which is cam only stock heads. i would prefer a dry kit as robert56 has convinced me with all of his threads, this guy is awesome!! i just finished upgrading my fuel system for the dry shot. i am running dual inline walbro pumps secondary pump cut on by a rpm switch, aeromotive fuel rails and regulator, stock ls6 manifold, stock maf,42lb injectors and efi live for my logging. the dry plate kit with the interface from hsw has really got my attention. let me know what you guys think.

would the harris dry plate be a good choice for me or do you think i should go with a wet plate since it will be a heads and cam motor. i have noticed most users with heads and cam are using wet systems.

The HSW plate will keep up with anything you're gonna throw at it. Plus, for a little bit more money in a noid and lines, you can make it a 2 stage dry shot.

150 wet. I've thought about going dry, but I don't have a dyno up here to dial in a tune. Wet is alot easier for me.

a wet or dry shot will work with your setup. the only restriction you may run into with a dry shot is injector size. If you go with heads/cam and a dry shot you may max out the 42s

the delphi 42s should support 700 bhp correct. actually 48.83lbs at 58 psi
this should be enough for me, if not could i do a second stage wet on top being i have a strong enough fuel system. thanks mike, i will be calling you shortly im just trying to get some ideas

Of topic but what front clip did you use? Or were you able to use the stock front clip with the LS1.

My project...

chassisworks tube chassis ,custom built headers all fab work done by me. Chassisworks sells great bolt on front clips but they are expensive. i am running 7.40s now in the 1/8 and want to go faster baddd!!!!!!! i was hoping to be faster than that on motor since the car weighs 2700 with me in it. i am learning to tune. i think this tuning stuff may be over my head though. that car looks great i love chevy 2s.

Cool. I have heard the the chassis works is the way to go. What headers did you use? Did they just bolt right in?

If tunning is not your strong point a nice plate system (Wet) may be a better option for you. Just my opinion.

Cool. Headers look good....

As far as the nitrous system just take your time and tun it right. If you get to a point you need some help let me know. I will be happy to guide you down the right path.
Good luck
Dave
