383 on a 200-250 shot?
ok im installing my N20 kit on my car this week, its a NX race EFI wet system, goin for a 200 shot maybe 250 later on. the car is a 383 with JE pistons, eagle rods, crank. Yank 3600 stall through a 3.73 on 26" et streets. right now the car runs 7.0's and 7.10's consistant. car has ran a 6.90 a couple of times. cuts 1.50's all day on the 60'. what do u guys think it will run on the spay? thanks
That's crazy, I know lots of people who spray more than that on stock blocks. A few who have done it for years...as long as you don't plan on hitting a 250 shot all at once...which with your setup you won't have the traction for it anyway.

well i was told it would be ok, i just wanted to know what i would proly run, why is it goin to spin on my setup? i have a spohn sdj ta, spohn lca with relocation brackets, adjustible QA1's on the front. the only thing i could think of is goin to a 28" tire....

I've gone 10.40s @ 133 with NX 175 shot. Assuming you've got an SS series converter, you'll probably be fine. I blew through a PT4000 big time. Now I use a 3 disc Vig. Much better converter for my combo.
i would start with a 150 shot and see how the tire/chassis/converter holds up to it since you are already running pretty strong. then step it up if all goes well. if the tire holds it and you dont blow thru the converter then the 200 should be good for a 6.20 or so.
hey man thanks alot, is that your car in ryan's shop? that thing is gonna haul *** when u get it together man! i got my car back today and im gonna run next thurs., so ill post back up here with updates as soon as i can!
