Default Nitrous help - Im a noob.

I'm thinking of getting my feet wet with a small Nitrous kit for my 01 C5 6sp. As a complete and total noob I want to start out safe and small, maybe a 50-75 hp dry kit.

I'm kinda' looking to the folks here for some advice/guidance and how to go about getting started and what systems to look at. I'll do the install myself, thats not a problem, but I know nothing about gassing a C5, so here I am.

Thanks

Look in the stickys. A 100 shot is samll. 50-75 really wouldn't be worth it in my opinion. Even if you start there you will go bigger in no time at all. There are plenty of sponsors on here with good kits. I am using a Harrisspeed wet plate kit.

Take time and read through the stickies. Then decide wet or dry, then decide what kit you want by looking at the sponsors sites. Dynotune, Harris Speed Works, and Nitrous Outlet are great vendors. Give each a call ask em questions and pic the kit ya want.

There is a Corvette C-5 ZO6 specific thread with a bunch of great installs pictured (search should bring it up).

Harris Speed Works Dry plate system in my '02 C5 Coupe. Excellent products (check out The Interface for controlling fueling, timing, & more), terrific service, and great pricing. You can go with 50 or 75 shot if you like. Lots of people spraying 100 shot on stock motor. Always a good idea to tune for proper air/fuel ratio on the dyno. Good luck!!

The more I read that is the conclusion I am coming to. I have a question concerning the wet kits. Do the ones that run off the fuel rail port deliver adequate fuel? Seems like a nice easy install as well.

Thanks

both wet and dry can be dangerous if not installed/tuned correctly.

Don't think just bc you buy a wet kit, you're 'safe.'

Each kit has advantages and disadvantages. Dry kit is easier to install and has less components, but you can fine tune a wet kit easier than a dry kit (using smaller fuel jets, ect).

You can't go wrong with either wet or dry though Why not do both?
