Anybody have clearance problems with Nitro Dave's new LT1 plate?
Just finishing putting my car back together and this is the first time it's got the plate on it. It moved my BBK 58mm so far forward that I had to grind the living hell out of the IAC body and back of the waterpump neck so that the waterpump would sit flush against the block. Think I got it sitting flat but the IAC and waterpump are still touching each other. Anybody else have this problem?

Same problem here, I had the TNT plate prior and had to do a decent amount of grinding. I tried to put the Nitro Dave's plate on and it needs to be clearanced more. Have not got round to doing it yet. I am also running a 58mm BBK. Not sure how much more I can grind off the thermo housing I am pretty much through the metal of the IAC Throw up soe picures, I could not get mine on just yet and was not in the mood to start grinding again.

Should have some pics in a couple days if not tonight. Yeah I went to TOWN with the angle grinder and it's still very tight/touching. I was scared to take too much off the iac housing for fear of breaking through. I think I got it close enough, just was pissed off that I got aluminum dust all over my clean motor and engine bay.

This is not what I wanted to hear !!
How did the bores of the plate line up with your throttle body? My plates bores appear to be miss-aligned by about 1/8" causing the plate to overhang the throttle body bore.

I noticed the overhang as well but thought it might have been from my crappy home porting on the intake for the 58mm. I will fix that later down the road I just need to get the thing running right now.

I'm not sure how you can fix it later. Mine would require grinding of the throttle body, the intake and the plate itself.
It wouldn't bother me to grind out the intake more than normal, but I don't plan on grinding a brand new BBK throttle body or the plate itself.
I was hoping it was just a bad plate.

Everything lined up in mine except the only grinding needed would be on the intake itself where it is overhanging into the line of airflow. Plate and TB line up perfectly.

I had the problem of the IAC hitting the thermostat housing too. I fabbed up some 1/8'' aluminum spacers for the electric water pump and that soleved the problem. That was with a COMPUCAR 52mm throttle body plate

Piston, yeah they stick out a little. The price you pay for a big nitrous hit I guess?
skiguy, where did you put the spacers, between the waterpump body and the block?

It's been quite a while, but I thought I would update this thread.
Thanks to Chris and Dave at Nitrous Outlet for getting everything straightened out . They replaced my original plate (quite a while ago now) with a new one that fits perfect on the bores.
I've finally had time to get started on the install.
New 58mm bores that match the rest of the parts. Might still remove a little more material on the upper outside of the bores. It's kind of inside the bore a little and I am not sure how much it will affect airflow.
Had to remove a little more aluminum for clearance.
Then trial fit the plate and everything looks mint !!
Hopefully I can get this beaSSt back together soon. I'm chomping at the bit to try it out.
