Default Plate users I need help!

I have a HSW plate kit on my car. Those of you running a plate, did it screw your tune up? My car is running like crap, it is way lean, hard to start sometimes and stalls sometimes. Fuel pressure is good. Just seeing if any of you have had a similar problem.

you dont need a tune when you just hook up the plate. sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere

I've looked but can not find one anywhere. Is there a way to check for a vaccum leak other than just looking?

X2. Sounds like a vacuum leak, maybe leaking where the plate seals to the throttle body or the intake.

I just sprayed everything with cleaner and had no change in the engine rpm.

I don't have a torque wrench but they are tight. I took it apart and put it back on and same thing.

Take it off and see if the problem goes away. IF it does, put the unit back on and see if the problem comes back.

thanks mike. I have no doubt that if it has anything to do with the plate you will take care of it.

I had the high idle and it was b/c the throttle cable bracket was a little off, bent it in slightly and released the pressure.

+1 on the leak though
