Default stok bottom end handle 100 shot?

ok motor is a H/C 56k mile ls1 462RWHP already, can it handle a 100 shot?

yes. if you havent done a fuel pump upgrade you will need too

Most say 600hp is the safe limit..some go over it..some blow before it

no is that at the crank? cause with 462RWHP im sure im at about 510+ crank and then 100 shot would put me over 6.. also are there control boxes that would allow when armed for the nitrous to automatically spray at say 3500rpm at WOT? im in a 6 speed with 4.11s dont really want to have to waste time pushing a button...

To be honest..i have no clue, im guessing rear wheel power considering most are on a dyno when checking. And you need a window switch. It will operate your spray for you automatically. set on and off point. Might want to check out HSWs new controller, looks pretty sick

Ive sprayed ~25 bottles with a 100 shot so far and all good to go.

600 rwhp is the standard for how much the stock bottom end can take somewhat safely. with a good tune you will be fine at 600.

ok so i take back the question about the control box just checked out your HSW site and it was right there... now what would be the safest rout a wet kit or a dry kit?

our dry plate with the interface controller (which is also on sale) and the micro edge controller would be one SICK combination. When developing the micro edge we knew this would make an extremely good system when combined with the plate and interface. the sum of these three components is what truly makes this a safe system. So many saftey features are built in to two very small units. window switch, lean/rich A/F shutdown switch, A/F adjustor, timing retard unit, multi gear lock outs, etc. all together with a dry shot which is naturally safer then a wet kit as there is no fuel entering the intake.

oh i also have to mention my car is SD tuned and higher compression than stock. if a dry is better than being SD tuned no maf, would that affect anything in this kit?

you wouldnt be able to run speed density and use the interface. how come you went SD? not needed at those power levels

i was getting the tune and i was planning on boost in the future so i figured id just go SD from the start and the guy who tuned it has a good rep. so how would i go about using nitrous with SD tuning? also is the interface youre talking about the micro edge controller? or is it the controller for a/f timing cause damn kinda wish i stayed maf tuned after reading about how easy and good that a/f controller is...

The engine should handle a 100 shot all day long.

Wet kits and can be run on SD tuned cars.

Really don't know what you have to do to run dry kits on SD tuned cars.
I would just go back to MAF, if you want to run a dry kit.

I have a SD tune(tuner loves them) And Run HSWs Brute shot plate kit, and love it. Ill probably pick up the Edge too here in a bit.

i checked out that brute shot plate kit and it under wet shots? maybe i dont understand the difference between wet and dry shots but i thought when it is sprayed through a plate or anything before the intake then that would be considered a dry shot right? and wet shots are directly mixed with your fuel?

in a wet system the nitrous and fuel are injected into the manifold through the plate. In a dry shot only nitrous comes out of the plate. You rely on the MAF or the interface to add the additional fuel via your injectors.

alright so i can get a wet kit and use the micro edge controller? also what size injectors should i use with a 100 shot? i currently have SVO19lbs i think if not 24...i gotta dbl check forgot which ones i bought...

i doubt either of those sizes would support the power you are making NA...do you know what the injector duty cycle was when you had the car dynoed? You dont need to do an injector upgrade for a wet kit, a pump upgrade would be necessary though.

Yes you can use the micro edge with the wet kit. The interface is actually a good tool to have with a wet kit as well. You can pull timing with it and make slight a/f adjustments without having to pull jets.

I'm pretty sure I got the 19lb ones as that's what my recent purchase log on ws6store says. Although I could have sworn I got bigger ones...don't know what the duty cycle was either. But if I actually am running the 19lbs na will I need to upgrade for the wet kit? Or is it just a bigger pump? Also what is a good pump to get?
