Default Question to F-body owners that keep their bottle between their back seats.

How do you hide it when you are out and about? As in, if you go to the store or mall or something, how do you hide the bottle so that nobody sees it and breaks in to steal it?

Ha, if someone breaks in I hope they have a wrench to undo the line...that's not like a radio that can be ripped out.

But you could get a gym bag and cut a slice in the bottom and sit it over the bottle.

Unless you have high end quick release bracket the damn thing take 10 minutes to remove by the time you disconnect all of the lines, opener, & electrical gadgets.

i had a big jacket over mine. even with the top down, if you tuck it just right (had it held down by my 860 bottle heater brackets), it would stay put and look like it was just sitting there. people got into/out of the car and never had any idea it was there until i pulled the jacket off.

Iv'e had my 94 since new and it has 31k on it. Some would think drilling a hole in the hump would be a sin, but the car is never gonna be sold and a few holes here and there don't bother me.

Cupholder

It is easier to patch up than a hole in the carpet...I can just glue a Pepsi can over it or something...

I agree, love the hardtops. Carlos i sent you an fquick friend request.

I like the idea of mounting the bottle on the tunnel, it basically eliminates the need for a remote opener, plus i can shut it down between runs.

I rock a purple bottle. No one would want it! LOL If I know my car will be sitting out I try to park somewhere well lit or where it is easily seen and put a jacket or sweat shirt over it. But if you put it in the backseat you have to know there is always the possiblity that someone will see it even if you go through a drive through. I live in a smaller town and I have been in the drive through before and have had people look at it and then go and get their buddy who came over trying to act like he was doing something else but was looking at the bottle. Never know when one of them might see your car out and try to get into it. After having the bottle in the back seat I wish I would have just bit the bullet and put it into the spare tire area. Might cost more in the long run but is a cleaner look and don't have to worry about cops seeing it and hastleing you over it.
