Talking F/S New, never fired 355LT1

This engine was built for a car that was sold before I was ever able to piece everything together for it. I now have a 2001 SS and have no need for a gen2 motor. The motor was professionally assembled and was never started.

The mains are Milodon 4 bolt splays, assembled with ACL "H" race style Main bearings. The crank is a SCAT 4340 Forged and Nitrided crank. Lightweight PROBE "I" beam billet rods, PROBE SRS series free floated pistons w/Speed Pro plasma moly rods. The pistons also have a heat resistant coating on the head, but no skirt coatings.

I have in the neighborhood of $4k in this motor. Im willing to let it go for $2k OBO. This motor was built to run and machined and assembled by T&G's Performance in Southern California.

What is the compression, and with what size heads? Is this block blower friendly?
Are the pistons dished, domed, flat top? if so what degree?

I was going in the direction of N/A with the option of going FI in the future. The pistons have a slight dish in them. The compression on a 58cc head should be in right at 10.64 and a 64cc drops that down to 9.98.

The bottom end was built tough. With the splay conversion, the bottom end should be good to upwards of 800hp according to my builder and all of the knowledge I have acquired over the years. I only used top quality stuff in this build. ALl the bearings are ACL "H" style race bearings and all the main components are quality.

You could go three ways with this motor. You could either go nuts and run this thing to the limit, build an ultra reliable daily driver motor or somewhere right in the middle.

I was going to put this in my daily driver with a pretty nutty cam (238/244, .600/.590, 112LSA) Driving with a cam this big every day in traffic is within my tolerance level, for others its not. I was planning on making mid 400rwhp N/A with this thing and driving it every day, with plans to add a blower later to put me into the mid 600's. I put this thing together so I could do all of this reliably.

That would have been a sick set-up. The motor looks good, I love splayed 4 bolt LT1's. Good luck with the sale!

bump...

I was quoted shipping on this motor from CA to Missouri and the freight was only $300...

It wont be as expensive as most people think to ship this motor.
