built turbo 400
turbo 400 transmission case code CK. lets start off with the id numbers, tailshaft 8624485,cfd3c,6-73. case numbers cfd 1 5,cdubr 11-73,ca h, plate numbers 74-ck-5898,74k-313 and lastly pump 8828d,895-29,895. this is a complete year matching gm orginal transmission.this trans WILL fit these years and model gm cars , 1967-69 327 corvette, 1969 350 corvette, 1970 350 corvette, 1971 350 corvette/camaro, 1972 400 camaro/corvette, 1973 350 corvette, 1974 350 corvette, 1975 350 corvette. but will fit any/all gm engines.this transmission has been built to hold in excess of 800hp engine but will work in the everyday street car or cruise machine. heres the build list alto clutchs and heavy duty steels, new intermediate clutch springs, upgraded center support rings to metal,heavy duty direct clutch release springs, heavy duty intermediate snap ring, transgo 1-2 race shift reprogramming kit, deep chrome pan, b+m adj. vacuum modulator, transgo race spacer plate, heavy duty yoke bushing,kevlar rear and front bands, new detent soleniod. the case has been fully blueprinted and clearanced, rear endplay is .015, direct clutch clearance.063, front pump enplay .009. i choose to keep all my clearances tight because it will create quicker more positive shifts along with longivity.the shift kit will do this 1.STREET OR FULL-RACE AUTOMATIC SHIFTS, 2.HOLD 1ST AND 2ND TO ANY RPM, 3.BACKSHIFT TO 2ND AND 1ST AT ANY RPM, 4.TOW & GO OR COMPETITION COMBINATION. this transmission will hold 800hp plus as stated earlier. do not let this detur you this is completely streetable. please feel free to ask any and all question, i will answer them. i can ship anywere in usa. sorry no canada but remember its gunna cost anywere from 200 to 400

lets see some pics. Its hard to buy trannys over the internet because you really don't know what your getting. Not to be rude, but im looking for a th400 and im a little afraid to buy from anyone that isnt well known or professionaly built.

Thread hijack.. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to build a TH350/TH400. I wouldn't be too picky on who built it. I rebuilt my TH350 a year ago (and I am not a transmission specialist or anything) and the thing is awesome!

Its like buying a motor over the internet. Anyone can say they have done this or that to it but since you don't have the part in front of you and cant actually take it apart to make sure it is what they say it is, im going to assume a 2 year old built it.
Maybe you got lucky with your th350, but when your looking for something to do serious track or street use, it needs to be built correctly so i don't have to spend another 800$ to have it rebuilt.
