I have up for sale a 383 LT1 shortblock with 5k on it. Perfect condition, held good oil pressure, no unusual noises. Ive pulled the heads and pan and inspected everything to make sure its in good condition still and looks great. Heres the specs:
Engine Rotating Assembly:
• Scat 9000 Crank-3.75” Stroke
• Scat 4340 Forged I-beam 6” Rods
• Wiseco Flat Top Forged Pistons, 4.030”, -5cc valve relief
• Roughly 12.0:1 Static CR (about 11.5:1 with factory heads)
Will come with:
Clevite main, rod, & cam bearings
factory camaro oil pan, clearanced for 383
95 timing cover (for vented opti)
Camaro harmonic balancer hub
Comp cams 850-16 Lifters & factory spider/hold downs
Cloyes 9-3145 Double roller timing chain
Comp Cams XE 236/242, .555" I & .576" E, and 110 LSA
Melling High volume oil pump w/welded pickup
Rear main seal holder & oil pump driveshaft/cam gear
The 2-bolt Camaro Block was decked, line bored, bored over 30, lifter galleries were modified for better oil flow, bored, clearanced for a stroker, new freeze plugs, internally balanced, and then professionally assembled. (can provide paperwork for all of this). I do not have reciepts for most of the parts as they were bought from ebay or from this forum. (i do have some for the bearings and other misc stuff).
I can provide pictures if youd like. Check out my feedback to know im legit. For the sake of simplicity, my asking price is $2200 with shipping included. (This price is providing that you can pick the pallet up at your nearest freight location. Delivery directly to you is usually about $50-75 more). Paypal will even be accepted!
Also willing to pull the cam, lifters, timing chain cover, and timing chain out of the setup to save the buyer money. PM me to discuss options and prices....
So there you have it, no mystery ported heads to buy, no intakes you already have, no guessing shipping costs, no waiting for it to be pulled and inspected (can ship tomorrow!). Straight forward and simple.

Specs on the cam are 236/242, .555" I & .576" E, and 110 centerline. Heads were milled factory heads (honestly I have no idea how much they were, the machine shop figured the ratio). I believe that with factory heads the compression ratio was around 11.5:1.
The oil pan was clearanced for the 383 and ran with it. So It will be included in the sale for that reason.
Id knock off $250 for the cam, lifters, timing chain cover, and timing chain. (I won't sell them seperate until the shortblock is sold).
Ill have some pictures of it up tomorrow. Its at the shop and I won't make it out there til tomorrow afternoon.

Just ran premium pump gas with it. Never had a problem with that... i need to check to see if I can find a formula that will tell me compression ratio correctly with stock cc heads.... ill post back....
