If I get some tires I will be, or if I man up and just throw my M/T's on it. and Mikey will be once he gets his 9" and a tune especially at woodburn, We can run our cutouts open and not have to deal with PIR people.

I prefer the Woodburn track but it's so damn far from Vancouver. I don't know about recent years, but back in 2000-2002, Woodburn had much better track prep than PIR. PIR would only lay down VHT for about the first 70'. What that meant was if you were running a street tire, you'd hook good out of the hole, and then hit second gear and just about go sideways from spinning. Not sure if PIR ever fixed that or not though.

Mikey - PIR put in a new concrete launch pad 3 years ago and completely repaved the entire track 2 years ago. Since the repave the traction is much better. Because PIR is a combination track, they can only spray VHT for 130 feet from the start line. That is where the road coarse comes into the straight. If they spray beyond that, the road coarse cars end up in the walls because they don't have enough slip for drifting and such. In comparison since Jonathon Adams left Woodburn to be the NHRA Division 6 director, Woodburn track prep has been shitty. Alot of the regular ET racers that I know that run at both have said that PIR track prep has improved and is better in there opinion over the last few years. Also Woodburn doesn't run all night. Jim (track owner) is too cheap to buy and install track lighting, so when it gets dark they shut off. Usually doesn't run past 10 pm.

Many of those same serious racers run at PIR. PIR runs their regular ET series on Wednesday nights and Woodburn runs their regular ET series on Sundays. That way the two tracks can both benefit from the local racers. Friday nights and Saturday nights are "Street Legal" nights. Street Legal nights was created to get street racing to the track, so yes you are going to see those that are not so serious about racing and alot of "Tuner" people.

Isn't PIR 1/8th mile?
Maybe that's why you think your car is fast? 11s in the 1/8th is really pretty slow.
