Mustang is waiting on the tires to ship from Summit, I hope to drive it this coming saturday. If they don't come, it'll go on the 26" tires again, just to see what the new dual 3.5" exhaust and new larger headers do for sound. If it's on 26's, I'm going to attempt a full throttle john force burnout in 3rd See how much rubber it'll lay down. If it's on 28's, then I'm hoping for wheel stands and a single digit pass

New mods to the 408 cleveland:
Headers with larger primaries
dual 3.5" exhaust with moroso mufflers
crank girdle
rebuilt dizzy w/ recurve kit
rebuilt and re-jetted holley hp 1000 carb
UPR moly k-member, a-arms, caster/camber kit, adjustable coil over kit
lakewood front 90/10 shocks
new brakes
hoosier 28x10 slicks on order (hoping they fit)

sounds weird with exhaust, used to be nasty sounding, but it sounds like a small cube v8 now, least in the shop, kinda raspy. Hoping it's different outside. And it better run 9's, this thing made enough power to twist the hard filled block so much to the point where the main caps pulled metal out of the block. The girdle and solid motor mounts should help

You'll get there Joe. At least you're taking your time and doing it right. When ya start rushing things is when the mistakes happen and you'll either end up doing it twice or really be sorry later on. Keep your cool and take a few minutes of a break if something isn't going the way it should. Breath.....

thanks for your guys words of wisdom. ive been getting caught up in other things lately that prevent me from finishing the project. so i have only gotten a few hours a day to work on it. but i dont wana kill myself trying to get it going. after i study for my algebra final i might go out and install the other head, that would make me feel much better

Yeah and I still have plenty of beer for us to drink from the Mexican Restaurant that went out of business! Which might not be such a good idea to be doing while building your car...maybe just make it more fun lol
