Good looking rigs guys. LS1whip did you do the stripes with a brush or one of those rolling stripping tools, looks pretty good.

I just bought tubes for mine. I wonder if I should screw mine on before next weekend? I will only be running a set of old slicks, but I hope it will be better than street tires. I know it will give me that extra MPH I need to get through the traps.

That is cool good work, I saw one of those special roller stipping tool things at the roadster show and wondered how they would work. Since I took off the stock one and dont have an overflow set up on my jeep yet I had to use a gatorade bottle when i raced at woodburn.

If you're going to use the tubes, you pretty much have to use wheel screws. If you don't, you run the risk of the tire/tube slipping on the wheel and ripping the valvestem off.

I was at PIR tonight in the Mustang. After a bunch of mess I finally got out and ran a 10.39 with a crappy 60', second pass I launched it harder, same 60'. Just felt soft. Halfway down on the second pass it backfired through the carb, launching a flame out from under the hood that was almost as big as the windshield. Now it's blowing gas out the top of the carb, back home now. Think we killed a valve or something.

Oh yea, also bought turbo headers, y-pipe, and down pipe for the sixxer camaro. Long ways out yet, but I'm shooting for low 12's to high 11's with it. Gotta pull the motor and have the crank repaired yet. Debating an automatic swap, I want good track times, and a turbo motor won't like a stick as much as it will an auto. Should run like a top.

Yes that was me. My last pass was a 9.46 @ 146.

Musicman - was that you guys with the purple fox body? I've never seen pics so I didn't know what color it was. It did look like you were having some traction problems. I was surprised at how well the track held up tonight. I had my 2nd best 60' of the night on my last pass 5 minutes until 10.

Yeah, that was me. I saw you too, but didn't recognize the bike, lol. We had a slurry of problems last night. We were only cutting 1.5 60' times, not sure what's up. The tires don't fit, they're too big for it. We were forced to extend the bump stops to keep from hurting them, but I'm certain that it's just unloading the tires. Guess it's time for a 5 lug conversion and better fitting wheels.

I saw 3 or 4 3rd gens running pretty decent. A 5th gen that I've seen there before (really nice guy Jeff). After Musicman left a 69 Camaro HUNW Outlaw car, got really loose and over rev the motor and blew sky high. And a 55 Chevy HUNW Outlaw car that ran a couple of 8.17's and his last pass was a 8.06 @ 175 mph
