Nice looking! About the paint....leave them the way they are!! They look good.. Save your money for that H/C combo you are going with in case you run into any issues with the build. To get a set of wheels painted/clear coated properly it's going to run in the ball park of $350-500.

Yeah they should look pretty sweet. I went with Polished...chrome is too bling bling for me At first I went with the machine face black w/ a darker satin but they were out of stock on them. Polished will do though....plus I got a bad *** deal on them being my first choice they were to send me ended up not being in stock so I couldn't pass the deal up.

The wheels just arrived. They sent me the wrong center caps "should have been blank centers instead of the Chevy Bow-Tie" at least they are all chrome so they don't stick out like a sore thumb. Got the correct ones coming. Putting them on tomorrow! Should look good..

That's pretty common to break that sending unit. I've almost broke mine a couple times. Don't worry Joe, the hard part is still to come when you have to drop the oil pan to get to the oil pump pickup tube bolt. Also, once you get the heads off, be sure to get all the coolant out of the bolt holes in the block or you could end up cracking the block. Have fun buddy.

Sorry I missed your call earlier. I was elbow deep in gunk trying to replace the cv axle on the vdub. Turns out the axle I got is too long and won't work...... FAWWWK...

dident make a whole lot of progress to day, but this is what i did today: took all the plugs out, dropped the headers down, and took the valve covers off.
tomorrow i am going to pull the rocker arms, pushrods, lifters and then take the heads off, if im lucky i will get the cam out also.
thursday, parts will come, i will start reasembly
