Have you priced out a 572 lately?

The big block would probably ultimately make more power, but you'd have to sink a ton of money into it first; new intake manifold, new rockers, new cam and valvetrain, larger carb etc. You'd have well over $2k into it before you knew it. In the end the BBC would be more expensive to build, heavier on the nose and worse gas mileage with the controlled fuel leak (aka carb) on top.

There's all kinds of things I'd like to do to it, but they'll all have to wait for awhile. I'd prolly do a turbo'd 6.0l gasser before I'd put a dmax in it. It'll have to be something I can put a T56 behind.

I'm just sayin' I could help ya out. An Edelbrock performer rpm intake would be helpful.

Brandon - sorry no it isn't polished. I have a long list of parts I'm taking to the swap meet. Most of it is all Gen 1 SBC stuff. I actually have a complete running (carb to pan) 350 from a 78 4x4.

Intake $60 OBO
Engine $400 OBO

We should talk about that intake. Is it a Performer or a Performer RPM? I'll give you a call Friday.

Performer RPM (not the air gap).

I also have a Wieand Xcelerator (single plane). I'll talk to you later today or tomorrow.
