new rings will be in tomorrow along with a badass compressor, i tried using some **** wrinkle one and it was a bitch to install. i shelled out the $30 for the tapered aluminum one so maybe this time i can manage to get things right.
That'll do it. I'm surprised you weren't getting excessive blowby and pushing out the dipstick?

Yes, I know exactly what kind of compressor you're referring to, and I hate them with a passion. I use a solid tapered style for a 4.125" bore that I modified. I cut a 1/4" wide slit down the side of it and added a large hose clamp around it to make it adustable. Works great for 4.000-4.125 inch bore sizes.

i think the breather on the valve cover was taking care of the pressure...and ive also got one of the Lokar dipsticks, they lock alot tighter than factory, and they dont **** up and bend like stock ones do

i promptly threw the wrinkle compressor away when i was done lol. gonna re hone the block tomorrow and put it back together and see what happens

kids dont understand a newly built engine is different than throwing some junkyard Craigslist engine in a car and beating on it. not to mention, id like to see my monetary investment actually last more than a few months

Well guys I got some new seats installed last night. Thanks to fury and his skills they fit great!! A little high in the leg area but comfy as hell!! The seats came out of a C4 ( I'm pretty sure at least )... And are in near perfect condition! I'll post pics later today.

They look good! What's all involved in getting them to fit? Did you make new brackets?
