On a side note, I got to go drifting with John and his buddies for the first time, well took a ride with one of them, and I'll tell you what, IT WAS AWESOME!!! Such a differnt feeling goin into a corner and thinking your not going to make it and WAAAMMM!!! Pull the E-brake and here we go. ******* BADASS!!!

Yeah it's hard to find clean 3rd gens these days. Most of them have been rode hard and put away wet their whole lives lol.... Should be a very cool ride when ur done though.

I just struck a deal on a faceplated T56 for the black car. Looks like I'll have to re-learn how to drive it on the street lol.....

Bad day! The 4L80E in my 06' GMC took a **** on me /: the truck only has 62k miles on it and it's not even beat on! I baby that ******! First gear took a **** on it. It sounds like there is rocks bouncing around in the case in first then it is completely silent when it shifts to second gear. I'm pretty bummed. Idk if the stock gears and 35's on it since it was new were part of it, but still.. Gonna go to the tranny shop at 8am tomorrow to get fixed. then while I'm spending money on it, it's gonna get new tires aswell. a new set of 35/12.50/20's again. FML!!!! Can you say $$$$$$$?!?!?

Bummer! I thought your truck was a half ton with the 4L60e?
I have the 4L80e in my 99 3/4 ton with over 120k HARD miles on it and it runs like a champ. Makes me wonder why yours gave out so soon, let us know when you find out what's wrong with it

i thought it was a 4L60 too but the guy at the tranny shop who pulled it apart tells me its a 4L80. i'll know what it broke this afternoon. see what this whole deal costs me!
