Yep, there are two cranks right now. When they go the price will go up considerably as we'll have to have a custom one made.

Not an easy task my friend, but I commend you if it happens. I know alot of my 'car plans' have been put on hold. I wanted a 427ci stroker assembly for my winter project. Now I might have to make do with some forged connecting rods so I can juice it next summer.

So what would one of those cranks set a guy back? You think its worth the extra dough or should I just go 383?

Oh I know, but with an advanced induction tfs 215cc's and a fully forged stroker it will be dam close! LT1's are making a huge comeback! Dart is coming out with a 427ci lt1 block next month and tfs is making some 21 degree heads for the lt1's as well so there should be some fast lt1 cars around in the next few years!

I'm trying to buy one or both of them right now, I'll let you know.
This is a n/a only build, just making sure you know that.

383 is up to you, they're more common. My motto is bigger is better so you know where I would go. The 79z28 gets a 408 one of these days as well

I have decided to keep my ride and do a 396 stroker because I have so much money into my suspension so all I need is a 9'' rear and Im low to mid 11's all day. Too much money to start all over with a new car to only make a few more ponies.

Hey man, I've been in that same situation before myself. After my divorce in 05' my car was basically a roller, sold off all the parts, engine/trans etc. I had to start all over again. I had a Callies forged crank, Oliver rods, and JE turbo pistons ready to be assembled, not to mention the T-76 turbo sitting on the benchtop.

Took awhile to get the car running again, but I'm happy now.

Lol thats awsome Im wanting to use the exact same rotating assembly! So did you have to sell all those juicy parts? I just dont want to buy all the bolton **** again. Hey the way I look at it is a small block is a small block once you get into the internals!! The only thing that holds the lt1 back is the intake manifold design and plus I love being the lil ole lt1 underdog especially when we live in a lsx dominated country lol!!!!!!!

Damn that suck u had to part everything out especially that turbo. That's exactly what I want. Lol. Well guys I F-up my car today. A guy tried to cut me off when there was two lanes merging into one, so I got on it and moved to the center lane and he went wayyy left and next thing I know it I'm in the middle of a blazer and a dodge pickup. So the guy moved over and hit me, broke my mirror and put black and brown scraps down my door, and the dodge put tire marks all the way down the passanger side. Got most of the black and brown crap off of both sides except the rocker panels. Going to have to get new ones.

yeah I know bro but the good is that the guy work at a auto body shop. So I guess I collided with the right guy and he said he would touch it up for me...probably not though. We will see. Atleast I can start doing my color combo with the mirrors since I don't have one on the driver side anymore
