That's a nice car for sure!

I'm not sure about that dealership, but I got an e-mail from a friend about another one in Shoreline....

-----------------
Buyer BEWARE. CHUCK OLSON CHEVROLET sold me my dream car as in excellent condition used. I only found out on December 29th 2008 that my car is worth almost NOTHING because CHUCK OLSON CHEVROLET, INC. failed to disclose that my car had been in a major accident and rebuilt. The airbags had been deployed and I have had major problems with the electrical system as a result of this front end damage. I was told that the car belonged to long time clients of theirs that traded their car out every two years so I was going to be the second owner. This was not the case, as the car came from Michigan and was sold in an auto auction AND I was the third owner. Be sure to ALWAYS check the VIN number before purchasing a car. When I found out, the dealership refused to rectify the situation appropriately.

Don't buy from this Dealership:
CHUCK OLSON CHEVROLET, INC.
17037 Aurora Avenue N.
Shoreline, Washington 98133

Pass this along to anyone in the community that may purchase in the Seattle area. Heck - pass it along to EVERYONE you know.

I passed by that car the other day sitting on the corner of 99 and 168th in Lynnwood. The dealership hasn't been there very long. I'd be SUPER cautious of this car. Without even looking at the car in person I can just about GUARANTEE that it's been rebuilt. Go over it with a fine tooth comb before even considering it.

On the other hand take it out and beat the snot outta it!

Also for the record, a few years ago I bought a 99 Stang GT from Chuck olson chev, got it for 12k and this was back in 2003 when they still sold for 16+. Went over the car from top to bottom and it had been in a small front end collision on the left side. I could tell this because the bumper cover as well as left headlight were not original but whoever did the work did a great job. Car had clean title, no bad history with carfax. As far as I'm concerned as long as the title's clean, car is in great shape then it doesn't matter if it's been repaired. Just very important that a skilled eye looks the car over.

Vs are nice cars! We thought about one when we bought Linda's Charger, but at $60k I just couldn't do it....

As for this dealer, do you trust anyone that can't spell VERY?

They are all over for low 20s out the door. I looked at a 2005 V, stealth grey, 1 owner w/ 15,000 miles (Clear carfax confirmed and all that...) and it was only 25 out the door. Great cars. Good luck.

Thanks folks.
Thanks for the Car Fax Ryan.
I will probably skip it as the guy lied about the car on the phone. "1 owner trade with no accidents"
Saves me a trip to Lynwood.

Drove by the lot today. Didn't see the V there. Not saying it's gone but didn't see it in the spot it was the other day.

Previous collision....not suprised. Take those on carfax with a grain of salt though. If you are still interested in it go look at it. Anyone who has bodywork experience will be able to spot what has been repainted, and know where to look for damage.

Who knows, maybe it was really just a bumper cover, reinforcment that was replaced. Very minor IMO.
