Ford 9" - 'Quick Performance' Housing

Ford 9" - 'Quick Performance' Housing Anyone know anything about these housings? I know they're not a sponsor on here, but I'd like to get some opinions about this housing. It's got a different torque arm mount from the other 9" housings I've seen. Looks like you wouldn't need an adjustable torque arm since the mounts at the housing have Heim joints. Any thoughts?
FWIW, these guys make 9" housings for alot of different chassis'. They've been producing this one for the fbody for about 1-1/2 year or so.

The heim joints can't really be used to adjust it very much. As they change length, the distance between them changes because they are in different lines. The mount holes are a fixed distance apart. Maybe a degree or two is all you will get.

Actually you can get enough adjustment as long as you are adjusting the lower, not the upper joint... Another aspect is that they are farther apart than most ladder bar adjustors.
I don't think anybody in our area is running one, so as far as personal experience, knowbody knows. I do have one of their Spools in my car though.

I've been dealing with Brydon over there at QP. I just ordered up some 9" parts from them. I didn't even know they produced this housing until I asked if they ever thought about producing one. It looks to be a solid, well thought out design and it's about 200.00 cheaper than a Moser housing/axle package.

Well, after many email conversations with Brydon I finally pulled the trigger on this bad boy. Should be fabbed up by the end of this week, or early next week. Hopefully it will be here by Mar 10th or so. Once it gets here, it'll be off to the powdercoater to get the same Silvervein treatment as my BMR Kmember.

I know what you guys are saying about the clearance issues. Trust me, after experiencing the troubles Bobby went through with his Moser, and all the threads about having to "clearance" for the TA bracket, I did the research. It seems from everyone that posted in the "gears" section that owns one of these, it fits prefect with no "clearancing" needed. I believe it places the TA bracket a little closer to the driveline, so it's more centered in the tunnel. Same with the mounting point on the top of the housing, it's more centered in the tunnel, so there is more room up top in the tunnel. Another bonus is that everyone has said the stock length driveshaft is a perfect fit.
We'll see how it goes once it's here and installed. My car is pretty low, so this will be the ultimate test for clearance issues lol....

You might be right about not having to clearance it Mike. I beat on my car before installing the M9 (lessons learned from the old Moser 9") and I don't think I needed to. That TA mount looks similar so maybe not. I'd check fit it first....

I just found out my housing/axles and some other parts are shipping out today. Hopefully everything will be here by Friday so I can get the housing prepped for powdercoat. Wooooot!!
