Default Greeting gearheads...

Hello all, been lurking about for a while, thought I would register today so I could post here looking for someone ( shot in the dark here... ). I was at an ehxaust shop today I do work for up in marysville and the owner was telling me about a customer he just had who was building a "TT vortec" motor of some variety for a first gen s-10, couldnt get any other details other than that, but I wanted to see if that person was on here by any chance to see if I could scope out there project I am trying to piece together a 5.3 single set up and just wanted to pick their brain. Mine will be replacing a 327 I just recently built for my first gen s10 as well. Anyhow, greetings all, looks like you have a great site here!

ah the yellow truck wouldnt be so fortunate, but thanks! Im actually planning the swap for an older s-10. 1984 short box 2wd. Has a 327/th350 ford 9" combo right now. once i get a successful set up in the old truck, the yellow truck might be on the list.

its more of an interest in small trucks, with a few extra cubes My mom drives a 2000 camaro SS which would be my choice for a vehicle, but the insurance company wants about as much every month as GM wants for a vette. So I swap 'em and just let the state think its a v-6 LOL

Oh there are people out hooking plenty hard on stock-style suspension. good tires never hurt either, but there are lots of these trucks that dead hook on leafs and cal-tracs, slide-a-links... Are you familiar with the truck you posted pics of? that thing is an absolute beast!

hehe, not really looking to pick up another project at the moment unless its a freakishly good deal on a second gen s-10 pick up. I have plenty of vehicles im working on at the moment but thanks! I love that body style though, dont get me wrong. I have just decided that no matter what I build, my motor budget will stay about the same, which means I need the smallest chassis im comfortable hurtling myself down the track in. And at the moment, its s-10s

well I definitly need any and all opinions on local tuners/ shops in regards to tuning a boosted motor on a factory ECM. And im always looking for opinions on a turbo. Im fairly certain what im going to purchase, but since I wont be buying for 2 more months, I love to hear what people have to say. Im starting out with a 5.3. Im not certain on the cam yet. And there is a small possibility of a 6.0 liter head swap. That being said, I would rather be on the large end of the spectrum than small as far as the turbo goes. once I get the hang of forced induction ( or while in the process ) im going to put together a nice forged bottom end for a more potent motor and I want a turbo that will support that motor. long term goals i suppose. Street/strip vehicle. Just give me boost, lots of filthy dirty boost
