New LS3 owner :) Just picked up 2009 G8 GXP with 7 miles on the clock. 
Was on the fence between Z06 and GXP but the four doors, still has great performance was a good compromise between WANT and need. I've had my eye on these cars since original announcement and have been waiting forever for the GXP model to hit local dealers. Salesmen gave me the keys, test drove it and couldn't just leave it.
I would love to have a Z06 but don't need a toy like that right now, I'm starting flight training next week and have had all of this car stuff putting off my aviation (much more important to me).
It finally happened and this dealer had theirs on the lot just a week during all the rain a few salesmen openly admitted their dissapointment in not being able to take the car out for a spin on a dry day and beat on it a bit.
I still have the Cobra for now but will have it on the auction block ASAP with a laundry list of parts sold seperately.

I sat in one at the auto show (along with the new Camaro) that was here in Portland a couple months ago and the thing is just sick. Love those GXP's.

It's cold, dark and rainy we just got back from the dealer so I'll get some shots in the morning I'm catching up with the Mustang crowd and will break the bad news there.

With that said if anyone knows a good vendor please let me know, I only know all the spots to buy junk for Fords only.
I think the GXP is 6 speed only. The big brakes are awesome too!

I love this car, congrats ! I always thought that the GXP's only came manual, but you can go to Pontiac's site a build one with an auto ? Anyway enjoy your new ride

Nice my mom has an 09 GT stryker blue. They are very nice to drive and are suprisingly quick for how big they are. It's to bad you have to sell the Cobra though.

i test drove an 08 gt and loved it, and now with the little guy here and my very little jetta, I'm really wishing i would have gotten the g8
