Default My 1968 C10

I picked up this 68' Chevy C10 LWB pickup today. It's pretty much all original except it's got a GM Goodwrench 350 target engine. It's got 92k original miles.

Thanks Joe. She needs a tune up/timed, and fix the exhaust leak, but it starts an drives great. Should be a decent driver once I give it some attention. I like the ralley wheels also.

Congrats Mike. I know you've been shopping and thoroughly gone through them all. I'll get that manifold off tonight or tomorrow for ya.

Thanks guys. I originally wanted a 71-72 style, but all those were either 3/4 tons or ragged out, or just plain too expensive for my budget. I wanted to keep it under $2k so this is what I got, plus the more saw the 67-68's the more I liked them. I could always do a front end conversion later on as well.

Cody, thanks for the exh manifold. Before you pull it off the engine, let me check on what used a stocker will cost. If it's less than 50/bux I might just buy a used one in good shape and save me the hassle of cutting/welding some new pipe for the different location. The exh manifolds on there are ram horn style that exits straight down and I think yours exit more toward the rear.

You are correct. The ones I have are not rams horn style, they do exit near the back cylinders.

Thanks Steve, I'm really happy with the purchase. The truck does have it's share of issues, mainly rust in the cab but hey, they ALL have rust in the cabs lol.... I probably looked at 6-7 different trucks and they all had the rust.

Thanks Tim! Yeah that thing is swingin' up there lol... I wanted pics of the truck exactly as I got it home so I didn't touch anything, including the old blanket covering the ripped up seat and the huge antenna lol. Other than the rust in the rockers/cab, and the seat being worn out, the interior is super clean and everything works and no hacked up wiring anywhere. Even the flashers work.

I wouldn't sweat it man. I really doubt I'll do something that dramatic and the 67-68 frontends have really grown on me in the last couple weeks. But, I would seriously consider doing a shortbed conversion on her with some airbags and 18" Torq Thrust style wheels. That'd be waaaaaay down the road though.

Good to hear man, I love those 67-69 trucks the most and they are getting hard to find with rust killing them.

Sounds like it'll be a nice clean truck when your done
