i thought ellis did dyno tunes?

 

He does do dyno tunes. He just doesn't have a dyno at his own shop. So you go to another place(s) with a dyno and he uses their dyno to tune.

 

That is correct. He likes to use Turbo techs dyno but there are multiple shops with dynos around that will rent them to a tuner. Personaly I'd go with him again. Thing is he will get it dailed in on the dyno and driveability. A dyno tune isn't worth much if the cars not driveable. My car with a 238/242 cam drove great when he was

Yeah its not bad but can be time consuming.you get a new oil pump? If not I deff would. I got bit in the *** on that one.

 

My engine is a 2002 with only 40k on it, from what i see, i dont need to upgrade my oil pump.

 

the other part that sucks about changin the oil pump is dropping the pan. ands then trying to get the oil pick up tube bolt started lol

i dropped mine in the pan on my first attempt

 

i wont need to take mine off if im not changing it right?

 

it would be a good idea to change it while you have the timing cover off. its a must do

I put a Melling high volume oil pump when we did my h/c swap

Well, guys, im starting the swap tomorrow morning, please check in on here, because if i get stuck i might need some help, ill have internet where im at, so ill post any problems that arise.

 

when i did mine i did the heads as well. so im not sure how but you have to do something to keep the lifters from fallin down into the motor. i think you can take some pen magnets and inseerrt them into the holes for the pushrods.

 

yea, thats what ive been reading, I just printed out all 20+ Pages from ls1howto.com, as well as all the torque specs. ill pick up some pen magnets tomorrow before i head out, as well as some motor oil, filter and a few other things. hope I dont have any misshaps.
