What do you consider reasonable? I had my car tuned by TJ Wong at Wongs Performance and my car runs great. He is in Vancouver, I feel he is well worth the money he charges.

Ya they are all about the same price. But wong def has the best rep out of all of them. Unless you wana head up to monroe i beleive is where it is. And have ellis tune your car, he is equally as good as tom wong at tuning.

Wong tuned the six banger last year, did a good job, I'll be calling him in a couple weeks to tune it again.

He is usually really busy so if you need a tune get it scheduled, he could be weeks out.

About $450-$500ish, somewhere in there.

And June, crap, I wish I knew what my schedule was going to be around that time so I could call, hmm....

Hey thanks for the advice. I'm not sure of I can wait 5 weeks though! I may have too...

I called Blue Oval Performance in Vancouver (yes I know but they do GM cars too) and they quoted me $550...also called modern classics in lake Oswego and steve over there said $520.

Anyone ever heard of these guys?

Got scheduled with steve @ modern classics in lake Oswego for the 27th, and I didn't even want to wait that long. I'll post a pic of the dyno sheet after! Hopefully I'll be at or over 380whp

Turk, where did your post go? I was going to add to it but wanted to make sure this was the same guy my friend took his car to. Indeed it was. He said Steve had some hippie looking guy that drives a vw bug do his tuning. He said as well that the tune was overpriced and also had a second look at his car because it shortly after because he dropped a piston. Turns out his air fuel was at 16+ Be careful OP and be sure to check your air fuel ratio after he tunes it.

Ahh I deleted it because I figured he had already made his mind up to take it there. Interesting though about your friend. Doesn't surprise me, and that's the guy. He drives a silver newer body style bug. He does the tuning while steve drives the car. The guy isn't that good of a tuner. I looked at my dyno sheet and the AFR was at 15+. Called Steve and asked him about it and he didn't really have anything to say.Tom mentioned it was a ticking time bomb. Steve's prices are way high. Not worth it IMO.

Other party, I would book a dyno tune with Wong.

Wow, hate to hear horror stories. At least I know who to use and who not to use.
I guess I am going to miss having good shops near by to deal with.

I do my own work but if I had to take my vehicles somewhere, it would only be to Wongs. I am actually going to use is dyno soon. I seem to have either a bad waste gate or a bad eBoost solenoid. I am only seeing 16# of boost since I brought the car up here.

Yeah due to Turks advice I canceled on steve and bugged Tom Wong until he squeezed me in. I put out 342hp/360tq with headers/y/catback/cai/85mm MAF/ported tb/UD pulleys and it's a 02. Not bad I guess.

Wonder where I would be on a dynojet??

And cars runnin pretty good after too, runnin much smoother
