TF/D specs, at speed the rear wing produces 5K ft lbs of downforce on the rear wheels.

They showed a plexiglass cylinder and head mock up configuration and the amount of fuel that goes through it. During the staging and burnout it looked like a fuel injector spraying through it. Then he switched on the second fuel pump and simulated a full throttle run, it looked like a shower head filling the cylinder. 15 gallons per quarter mile. Think about that. Include the burnout and staging and I bet there's at least 10-12 gallons of 90% nitro going through that 500ci motor in ~4.6 seconds.

Is it drag racing season yet?

HEY ROCCO, It does say 12:00. How did you know? I bought some new tapes that say vhs. But they are too small. I think I use BETA tapes? I also tried putting a 45 record in it to record on and that didn't work either. Maybe I should dust off my old 8-track recorder and try that? Do you know how to make these things work? I give up and it,s time for my geritol. JzyZ28

That's friggin amazing! Sorry I missed it. Do you suppose if I hooked up 10 Walbro pumps thru a garden hose to my motor I could run in the 5's? How'bout a 5000 shot of NO2?

Tommy Ivo and his 4 motor 4wd monsters smoking all 4 for most of the track was pretty cool. Lotsa good info on the history of drag racing and how it evolved. Most of it was TF/D and TF/FC stuff. My favorite class is still SuperStock. Wheels up baby!! I could have done without the first 20 or so minutes of ricer bullshit though. The second half was definately the best part.

I thought about the beating you were gonna take on the board. You post this thread with good intentions, so I'm sure several us stayed up late, to what watch a bunch of Honda's

It did get good glad I stayed up.

Didn't TV Tommy Ivo also set a speed record on the salt flats with that car (or a similar 4 engine setup)?
