Default Found Source of KR?

I got the car up in the air today & I think I found it. When we were coming back from the PE last year I ran over a rock in the road. It smashed my DSL up against my y-pipe. So I KNOW that is rattling. I'll bend that & then while I wait for wheel studs see what else I can find. Hopefully this is it.....

Don't forget to look closely at that rub mark I saw between your LS cat and the car body. It really looked like recent contact to me ? I guess once you fix the DSL, a quick logging run will tell you for sure.

Your tires spun HALFWAY around the wheel? Damn Jason, were you trying to take Ellis out? Regarding screws I just went to Home Depot & bought what you'd get from Summit.....a pkg of 3/4" #8 stainless steel screws.

Now, about those wheel studs....bad news, Jegs is out of stock too! But the good news is, those aren't the ones I need after all. I pulled a wheel off & mine are the stock size (duh) so I need the 7/16" press-in style studs. Those they have. But, I have no hole / slot in my ABS reluctor ring, so it looks like I get to take the axles someplace to have the studs installed. Dang, can just one thing be easy on this car?

SO, is there something I should know about pulling an axle on a Moser 9"? It looks like the standard pumpkin style rear end.....unbolt the 4 bolts that hold the axle to the backing plate & pop it out, correct? (after removing the e-brake) All I need now is an axle puller.

Thanks Jason, going good so far. No need for an axle puller, they just popped right out (well, 1 has so far). Now I need my studs.....and a trip to Randy's to get them pressed off / on.

You & Jason need to call LM & talk to Mike about Sat. He has a couple other cars dynoing, so you'll need to schedule a time. No disks yet....

Talk to Mike this morning, told me to come by at 1pm on Saturday. Jason, I also mentioned to Mike that you may want to dyno again, so he'd be able to get both of us in at that time.

I will have to swing by & watch you guys. Note - there is a BIG Ford stroker coming from Spokane in the morning to dyno.

Got my axles out (had to use the pry bar on the dr side) & the correct studs ordered. Randys Off-road will press them in when they get here (& replace the bearings....required). Now, back to moving the exhaust around.

WHAT? You mean I ordered the wrong ones? Dang it, the 7/16 20 tap fit the lug nuts....well, 3-4 turns anyway. I shoulda known the stock ones were metric. Funny, I haven't seen those listed anywhere. You'd think one of our sponsors would carry them.......

Er, um, uh....yessiree-bob, there they are at Thunder Racing. I'm an idiot!!!

I will be getting 2 pkgs from Tbyrne when he gets some in. In the meantime I'll come get yours so I can get my car ready for the races.....

And if anyone needs some ARP studs that fit 'most GM products with disk brakes', I will have 10 in stock shortly.
