What is the price tag on that? I want to do one of these really bad, but I probably won't be able to until summer because $$ and I still need shocks/springs/swaybars before I will be happy.

I'll see if I can swing that Eric. I would be a kick if a few of us went together. I was leaning towards one of the April classes. Thinking I might have the cage & harness in by then. But maybe I can push things forward.....I'll let you know.

I guess your right, Bill but you only live once. Plus I am getting older every day. When I saw 16-80 year olds running at Daytona I thought to myself why not me. I am going to see how far my abilities can take me. Who knows, since I have bought a couple of cars at Park Place maybe I will swing by and talk to them after I get a license. There has got to be a way I can make a living racing that maintains my current lifestyle (which ain't much really).

And to clarify for anyone that might not know, Park Place owns and races in the Rolex and American Le Mans series.

I should really invest in the "driver mod" as well. Only problem is I don't know when I will have my new car, or if I would be through a proper break in period by the 29th. Classes like this should be standard equipment for any high performance vehicle.

$445... hmmm, I'll see if I can come up with that and come out to join you guys. I will probably be hard pressed to do so by 3/29, as I already have plans for my tax return money...

I wish all of you guys would take this class. IMO everybody who drives cars like ours should take this class. In fact everybody who drives a car should take it. My daughter is even going to take it ( I insisted, but she's looking forward to it ) after she's been driving for another 6 months or so when she's got a "basic skill set" in place. Even if it's the only time you ever get on a road course it will teach you skills that you will use every single day, and that's no bull

Plus it's the most fun you can possibly have in your car LOL !

I am going to take this class. Moolah's a bit tight for the next few months, but after that I'll be ready to rock and roll.

I doubt that! But I am looking forward to taking the class. Tho my plans could push it all the way out to June. I just hope I don't tear up my new tires. I can't afford to buy 4 more for the PE.

Talked to Don today and paid for it too so I'm in. He said that he will set up a schedule for me custom tailored to how fast I learn that will help me achieve my license in the time frame that I am hoping for. FWIW, he just got back from the 24hrs of Daytona. Didn't ask if he was driving or not. He does advertise that they will also help with "career choices". Does that mean that if your good enough he will recommend you to some team in need??? I can only hope.

Oh, another thing he said was that one of the teachers there has a Z06 and will be more than happy to show me what IT can do.

Eric believe me he WAS driving the car part of the time for the 24 hr race. He does this every year and actually won it all just last year. He knows his ****, and is among the very top drivers. Nice guy too !

As far as finding out what a Z06 can do in capable hands, be prepared to be both humbled and terrified all at the same time

Ask if Skip Nichols can be your instructor. Let him behind the wheel of that ZO6. Oh yeah, bring a diaper.
