It is dry down here right now... got all my stuff ready to go if anyone else is heading down.

If not, then I'll probably just wait until next time people can hit the track...

Agreed... all the forecasts said showers, but I look up and see nothing and feel nothing. Could change by morning, tho, so I'll look out the window first before jumping in the shower.

With good luck hopefully I'll see some of you out there

I'm not going to be there this time. I'm too pissed off at my car and I told my boss I would work. Damn wiring.. Good luck and I hope it doesn't rain if you guys head down.

It's looking evil, but I've already committed by rolling out of bed. Streets in Auburn a bit wet, likely to get some small showers, but I'll hope for the best. In any case I just hope to get the paperwork behind me.

Well, the day turned out to be decent weather-wise... it was still cold, but at least it cleared up.

Backed up my 12.2s from last year with a couple more 12.2s. I was really hoping for faster, but I'll take it considering I was just out there for more of a shakedown than anything else... had to get used to the new clutch and all.

The line lock was also lots of fun for the burnout... Much better than heel/toe like I was doing last year. The clutch also grabbed really well... even though it was still spinning a little on the launch (I'm guessing due to track temp) as soon as the tires grabbed, the car shot forward... very cool.

I'm pretty sure if I can stick the launch harder (like say in the 1.6 range) I'll be running a couple tenths faster.

Congrats Jason, I am sure with a little better track conditions you will get to where you wanna be i.e(11.XX).

I arrived at Pacific raceways at 9:00 a.m.. I expected to race a couple times then go to work at 12. None the less the track was not ready till 11:20 and I had to leave. None the less. I asked the people for a refund and they said i had to talk to Rusell. They paged him, and i was told to meet him somewhere. After waiting for 10 minutes at teh designated area, I went and talked to registration where again they paged him and he said hed be done, after abnother 10-15 minutes A lady finally came and asked if i had been helped yet, I said no and she said here gimmie your ticket and i will go get him. Thanks for nothing *******, you made me late to work.

A really good turn out of cars. When I left at 1130, lanes 2-3-4 were filled all the way back around the first corner.

Only f-bodes I saw there were: Jason and Jonathen seahawk. Post how you did Jon.

If I only had some raw tuna I could have made a whole boat load of sushi with the amount of rice at the track...

Cars I destroyed: Riced out Civic, a riced out Probe, and a ricey SRT-4.

And to listen to those kids back at the staging lanes talking about my car it was like they got beat by a top fuel dragster or something.

I overhead them saying "Dayum, that fuggin' Camaro is fuggin' fast, dude!" lol I guess to everyone but the people in this group low 12s are fast.

Yeah, those silly ricers. But the thing that worries me is that the "par" for rice is being brought up a bit with some of the new cars.. The "stage 3" srt-4 does low low 12s... This is scaring me, and I am probably going to need a cam sooner than I thought.

Well damn that is fast... my friend's stage 3 VW GTI 1.8L does low 12s, but that's on slicks with race fuel.

Hell, even the stock SRT-4 is supposed to be a high 13 second car, which is pretty fast for a four banger compact. However, not a single one of them today (there were at least 4 I could count) got into the 13s... all were running low to mid 14s. Those FWD (and the AWD Evos and STis) are a lot harder to do the times that are advertised than cars like ours that are built for this type of racing.
