Default Emissions by City?

I know you guys have some varying laws about emissions and emissions testing that differ by County and/or City/location....Since I will be moving up there no later then June 1st, I am looking at where to get my car registered.......my choices (just for now) are Mukilteo, Lynnwood, Everett and/or Mill Creek.

With my long tunes, !AIR and true duals, would any of those places be "safe" for me to register my car in and not have to sweat smog checks? Thanks guys, I always appreciate the help y'all give me.

Darrin

Well as far as I know, anytime you get into the big city areas like that you have to have emission checks. Here on the other side of the water, in Kitsap County, there are no emission laws. I went the safe route and registered my car in my home state to avoid all the laws! Hope to see you Soon!

Congratulations!
You are stuck with the same emissions anyone close to Seattle proper is with your choice of city listings.
Didn't we go statewide on emissions testing with the same standards? I can't recall even though it had people's panties in a bunch...if not, look for it to hit soon.

I think you are good if you can register in Island or Skagit County.

All they do is plug ito your OBDII port Rott. No codes = pass. At some point they may start looking, but Boyce's off-road racer passed, with his Boom Tube on the car! So we should ALL be safe. I am probably going to delete AIR & EGR before I test, and I have long tubes & a cam (with cats tho).

0 Testing in Thurston county which is odd since its holds the state Capital. Put Pierce, King & Snohomash countys are the big ones.

You'd probably have to go up to like Stanwood to get past the emissions stuff... All those cities test... but they just hook up to your car's computer and see if you're throwing codes or not. So if you're not, you pass.

If Boyce's car can pass emissions, anyone's can.

Yeah, here in Stanwood we don't test anything. We pay for it in a little higher registration fees, but we don't have any testing!

For all of those that do their own tuning should be aware that no codes does NOT mean that you will pass. They do a scan of all of your sensors and if you do not have the secondary 02's installed and deleted them through the program then they will fail you because of no rear 02 response. That is the sole purpose of the sims.

No worries, I have both cats (albeit not the factory ones), all 4 O2 sensors in place and working and it only threw 1 code after the header/ true dual install........which HP Tuners "erased". Otherwise it is alllll good.

yep, I have o2 sims... and when you look at my Predator real time data, the data being fed back from the rear o2s looks pretty consistent with the front o2s... so the sims do work.

I found the site that lists the Zip Codes, and of course, all 5 places (Zip Codes) I had were ALL on the list.

Oh well, doesn't sound like I will have any trouble. I am only missing the AIR setup and that "could" be reinstalled if it HAD to be...........

They won't even pop the hood... so not having AIR wouldn't be a problem.

This is too cool! I did an emissions check last year before the cam swap so I'd have it ready for registration this year...but the thing said it wasn't required! It confused the hell out of me. I wondered if they were going to make me take one next year or something....

But no! I moved from 98275 to 98204! Not required, baby! Sweet!
