Try looking at autotrader.com. Expand your search all around the country, and you'll find a ton... if I were looking, I'd be willing to fly out and pick up a car just about anywhere if it's the perfect car.

well, i am kinda burnt out on driving distances (since i just moved up here)
wanted something local.. seattle or portland
i thought i'd find enough here... but it doesn't seem so.
in the classifieds on sunday, there wasn't a single corvette listed
i've yet to go around to dealerships, but everything seems higher than what i'm used to pricewise.

Try looking at the chevy dealership in Sandy. They sell a lot of vettes there and can get you what you want as well, used. I told them what I was looking for and 2 weeks later they had it on a trade in. Bought it the very next day after they were done detailing it. Is my current SS. Bought it 1 yr old 20k on it, immaculate condition. Paid 23,900. They gave me 16,500 on a trade for my 97 Tahoe w/60k on it. this was year 2000 of course, but they're a powerhouse dealership. Check em out.

You don't sound too picky and just want a vette. So here's a snapshot of what is within a 200mi radius of Seattle on autotrader http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search...98101&x=39&y=9

My neighbor is getting ready to head down to Florida to pick up a few at auction. The last one he had was a 97 with 45k miles in really good shape with some nice extras sold it for 18.5 I think. The prices for vettes are inflated up here, although if you wait there are some good ad deals, Russ chevrolet had a 99 FRC for 22 last year I missed buying it by 1 hour....
