Default Phase 3 Begins

Well, I went & done it now. I put some $ down on a stroker motor today. I decided to go with Scoggin Dickeys 402. Seems to have higher quality parts than some other use, and yet still within my budget. HA, like I have a budget. Well, I do have a max limit on the credit card....

Anyway, he is ordering the pistons, and should start building it next week, so it could be here in 3 weeks or so.

I don't think I'm going to make it up to Seattle until the second half of September. I'm going to try to make it to Woodburn probably the 19th or 26th. If you wanted to got to Portland international instead I'd be up for that although the extra 20 minute drive will get you alot more runs for your money!

Anger management classes don't really do anything more than make you angrier at all the stupid people around you ... even if it is at Hooters. Hooters anger management would consist of "Do you need another pitcher?"

This is Mark, not Linda.....

Yeah, there were several ways I could go. But I feel good about this. Hope you aint pissed. I will be getting a custom grind. Ellis wants to make some deal with Cam Motion for a group buy. And my 6L heads are at the shop now. And I get to keep my old motor.

This is a brand new 6L GM LQ9 block. It will have an Eagle 4" forged crank, Callies 6.125" forged H-beam Pro Comp rods, Diamond -18cc dish forged pistons, ARP bolts throughout, & Clevite bearings.

I may end up getting the mini tubs at some point. Not sure if I really want to do that to this car, but I might have traction issues. But a trans brake? Oh HELL no! I am not going to be sitting at the starting line bouncing off the rev limiter waiting for the light to trun green.

Just because it's going to run 10s (I hope) doesn't mean I'm turning it into an all out racer. I'm still going to be driving it to cruise ins. And taking it to car shows.

I would defenatly consider the trans break. Then you don't have to worry about holding it on the breaks plus i dont think with the curent stall you are going to get any boost out of it on the launch. I would think you would want to launch under fulll boost...........*****

I have seen pics where people tub the cars and make them look stock, it's just a question on how good the guy doing the job is.

No big deal about using my guy plus you wouldn't have gotton the motor as quick as you are getting it.........but ievrything would have been built to withstand a whole lot more than you are going to throw at it

The eagle stuff will work great with what you are doing, for me not so much.
