Default Its amazing how these cars respond to bolt ons

So tonight I did a little work on the vert.

TR55s
MSD wires
MTI clear lid (got for $40 shipped used)
Airaid filter I used to have on the vette

It had some crap all over the MAF screen scary made me think maybe I should put a screened MAF in the vette!!

Did all that and WOW, reminds me of when I first did the lid in the WS6, it was like putting headers in an LT1..really makes a difference! So much that I had to write the wife a note in case it rained to be careful around the corners with the gas!!

I was playing with it afterwards (you know making sure it goes to 100mph as quickly as it can without any problems ), I don't know if its because I'm used to the Z06 or because its got 70k miles on it now but it NEEDS some suspension work BAD!!!

Its just funny how your used to the big stuff you forget how impressive these cars are with little stuff stock!!!

Tis true Bobby, this motors rock. We tend to forget & take them for granted, but everything I've bolted on my car has made it more fun to drive.

I have a question for you - if the Car Club Challenge were to setup a race down south (Woodburn of wherever) would any of you guys make an effort to come out?

I hear you Bobby! When I did SlowPokes cars I was amazed at the way it reacted for such little work

BTW I test fired the Teal car (Jimbob's) last night. That 6.6 Liters of fun inside of it rocked just a little too

So true both the LT-1 and LS-1.

My LT-1 A-4: is basically stock except for 12-bolt with 3:73's I and just love driving it to work, off idle car is just a blast.

My LS-1 6-Speed: nicely modified revs to the moon and screams. The GEN lll motor is a hell of a power plant.

Of course we all know it these are fun *** cars to drive

So what did your wife think? I have noticed that my wife has been grabbing the keys to my LT-1.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I know that I would DEFINATELY be there!!!!

I bet we could get a group of about 10 for sures to show up and I can think of another 10 maybes. PIR (portland) would be closer but that place is packed your lucky to get 4 to 5 runs in.

I would be willing to help out setting it up!

Now THAT would have been a test drive Now you just need to get a certain blue car on its way. I love the LT1 I've never had a car I felt so comfortable just beating the hell out of, she just said thank you can I have another. But in the bolt on and mild engine mods the LS1 is pretty hard to beat.

I'd be there too... IF and WHEN I ever get my car back from the shop.

I will have a couple of cool things to show off in pix when I get her back, though. -appearance not performance.

IF they got my part in this AM, I MIGHT get her back tomorrow. I'm not counting on it. It's been 7 weeks now. I've been told several times I might get her back "this week."

Over $8K in work so far, not including the extra on the side for the work I wanted to have done. 20+% of the car has been replaced.
