Welcome to the Board! Where are ya located?

How long has your car been making this noise? Are you getting any SES codes? Did anything happen to make the noise start, or did it just come out of the blue?

Also, what Mods are done to your car if any? We gotta know a little about your car before we can try to diagnose it

Default Bad knocking?

Welcome to the board.

Is there such a thing as "good knocking" coming from an engine?

Hmmm, is it a ticking or a banging? It could be anything from an exhaust leak to a spun bearing. Is the motor running rough or smooth? Got a stethoscope you can put on the valve cover & listen with? Or a loooong screw driver? Can you get the code read? I'd say drive out to Monroe & have Ellis take a look at it, but if it's a banging sound you don't want to drive it....
