Default Hauling the freaking mail

Nevada open road challenge is over and we finished. Not only did we finish the 170mph class but we have a good feeling that we might have brought home the hardware. We will find out tonight at the awards ceremony.

Run went GREAT!!!!! Talk about HAULING the mail. 35mph head winds and we still posted a 198mph top speed. Our cruising speeds were 180-190mph on all the straights and only slowed a bit for the corners.

I have to get cleaned up and headed to the awards. when I get back in town I'll get some pictures and vid. One of my buddies brought his bored and stroked F40 that was just wicked sounding and posted some good #'s. BTW. Spent some time speaking with R.J. Gotleib on saturday...............I might have a nav seat in sept. in his car. If you know who R.J. is, you know what car I am talking about. And I got some good video of that car as well. One MORE thing. The japanese team was out again. I wont lie, his **** is blistering fast and I mean blistering fast. But he grenaded the motor about 25 miles out and didnt finish.

More to come later.

I was navigating for a buddy of mine in his Corvette. No where near a streetable one.

We ended up winning the 170mph average speed class. 00:00.3x off our target time and .003 mph off target speed. We wont have official speed trap results until later on. We think we went through the trap around 196-7mph. Fastest we saw on GPS was 198.6mph. The fastest car out only saw 200.7 on his GPS, so we didnt do to bad.

That sounds like alot of fun. I dont know how I would feel about going that fast and have no control of the car but it still sounds awesome. Going for a ride in the infamous Big Red of RJs would very much qualify as a story for the grandkids. I hope you get to do it.

Worst thing about working a 2 man police unit was being the passenger during a vehicle pursuit........

Oh yeah, and CONGRATS Boyce.

Oh great! Thanks Boyce! I can just hear the trucks heading to my house with more car parts on them. You know how impressionable Mark is. Couldn't you have posted how awful it was instead?
It's great that you enjoyed yourself though, and that you came out of it in one piece!

Turbo,
Boyce can understand what you are saying. I had to turn off my intercom he was screaming like a girl most of the way. No I am just kidding he did great and we had a great run. Also you stay pretty busy as the navigator watching notes, gages, road, and the driver. You guys should come give it a try. Also make Boyce up load some of the in car video he took.

Big Red is coming again this year? Are they doing the 1 mile top speed race at that one?

And I'm not sure who has the bigger clankers Jeff, you or Boyce knowing how bad he wants to hit 2 bills.....nope, that next turn is a looooong ways off.
