Engine Help Needed I was coming home today and about 1/2 a block away from my house my engine started clicking very fast and loud. My idle also went up to 2k. I am going out to pull the valve covers off now and see if it is a spring issue or not. I have about 22k miles on my comp 918s so I am hoping that is the problem.
Any other suggestions?

Did it throw any codes? Can't remember if you have all your codes disabled or not.
If the ticking is only on one side of the engine, and on the top side, I would say most likely a spring or maybe a bad rocker or something. Definitely pull the valve cover on that side and see what's going on...
