Just in case anyone is interested. Bought it for my car, but have decided to not to install it after all. Don't really want to compromise the stock finish.

What's there to compromise? How is a C5 radio set up?

Forgive me but I have not been in a C5 so I don't know. And if we could find a way would you want to keep it?

Just afraid of depreciation, but yea there's nothing special there.

Rey, unless you are looking to sell the car within the next year or so I can't imagine it would depreciate it much. What was the original sticker for the one it has? Usually an afermarket upgrade like that becoming more common with now on-board nav etc.

Keep it and enjoy it

The C6's have an option on the sticker for the same unit Rey has - for $2700
There are a lot of threads on cf where buyers say "I should have gotten the nav/sat system when I bought it".

Based on that, I'm pretty sure its only going to add value for someone that is looking for a good shape Vette but can't afford one off the showroom floor.
