Got the Spec 3+ with steel flywheel and upgraded to 26 spline on Sat..Can't wait to get this thing broken in so I can really get into it..
Kinda like a digital clutch, it is either ON or OFF

Sean, the new 3.4L Whipples just started shipping, like yesturday. So I am going to keep an eye on the numbers they are getting and may just have to go that route.
We have a guy here in the MACA who is putting the first one on this weekend... will keep you informed.
Russ, enjoy your lead while you have it
And Ryan, thinking I will be "blowing past you" as well, pun intended

Only on the street. And if you do it on the track it will only be for about a year. Because the car will see Dr Ellis next year. I know what I want for a short block. Now Im just waiting for the heads that match it to be released.

Yeah, well, I've been lucky when my chebbys broke down, both the V6 and the LS1 died within a yard of my garage. The difference was that the V6 had a shorted fan (it's hot-wired so it runs when the key's in the on position, but for some odd reason, it also fixed my gauge lights) and it needed water and a cool down period, while the Z has a spun rod bearing. I know, I spun a rod bearing on a stock, low rpm motor, bouncing off the rev limiter to show the ricers what a real engine sounds like has its consequences.

Russ, nice numbers... are you done?
I am seriously keeping my eye on what the new Whipple is going to lay down for numbers. The 3.4L should be bad ***...then I will need to do all the supporting mods as well....just getting started but I will have something for you when I get done...trust me
Ken
problem is you cant BUY the driver MOD
I came stock with it

Oh and it was just over 19k between 03 & 04 (combined) and I know there were well over 12k WS6 Trans Ams made, and that doesn't count the Z28's & SS's....and that is JUST 2002. Apples to apples would be a better comparison IMHO. They take a car and test it against a car that has been out of production for 2 years by the time their car was built.......
Now don't get me wrong, I looked at an 04 Cobra, I just couldn't justify that much money for a mild performance increase in the straight line.....and I prefer the ride, looks, interiors and most everything better about the F-Bods. I respect the Cobra's ability to go fast, just not my cup of tea.
