Here Chebby Chebby
Great info Ellis, and yes I am hearing they do take quite a while to break in. Damn, just another excuse to go out driving
Any comments as to whether I should go Steel or Alum on the fly wheel?
Thanks,
Ken

BTW I have had one with the brokes T-Brn guide and I think I have another one here now with it broken now(With a Spec 3+).
Take this love to heart. It is from experiance

BTW Word onj the street is the new GT500 has a twin from the factory.
Well, I think I have heard that you can launch harder with the steel and they are more streetable...and more durable..just thinking...

You know Ken they are every thing you described but no one wants to use them

IF it was MY car I would run Steel
Regardless of what you are doing, i would reccomend that you check out www.ddperformance.com
I bought my clutch kit from them, as well as an aluminum driveshaft and stuff when i did the TKO-swap.
They have good deals on clutch kits, and hey sell the "viper" T-56 for your car if you want to go that route.

Sean, just doing the clutch at this point. Upgrading to 26 spline and going steel on the Flywheel.
Here is the link to some pics and vids from the car show you asked about.
Must have been north of 700 cars, good turn out... lots of Goats, vettes, vipers, exotics, and too too many WRX, SRT-4, and EVO's...and hot chicks not wearing much..
.I was in the L for this event, and I was the ONLY L there believe that or not. ..Our club rolled in with 37 Cobras and the L
Enjoy,
Ken

It can be, and is by each manufacture, called many things. I chose to call it the "throw out bearing(T-Brn) guide

Exactly, that is known weakness on the Cobra's... and mine proved not to be different..I would not say they came made of pot metal, but not much better
My clutch may still have some life, but why go into it to replace the sleave the TOB rides on and not upgrade
Ken
The Throw out bearing it self had exploded

Ken
Yes they do
Lucky I put a light coating of moly grease on the Guide. so when the bearing started spinning it did not take it out
This is on a 04 Term.
