Why is it we see no Cobras winning any road racing titles? But, we see the Vette taking mucho titles, hmmmmm...
Now here is some advice, instead of pumping $18 into a Cobra, sell the Cobra and add the $18k and go buy a "SuperCar Killer." That way you would have the real deal instead of a wanna be supercar killer.
Yea, guys lets do a bike day this Summer. Now, don't expect my old Iron Head to be running close to the GSX'er crowd, but we can still have some fun.
Robert
Robert, roger that and I do agree. I am not dumping 18K in the COBRA, at most I may just up the boost a lil and add some SF's. I don't plan on racing it, but rather have a fun street car that beats most cars on the road. (i know, except SOME vettes)
Going to the same with the L, I will be taking the FOCI to summit point here soon though for some fun though, it handles quite well just no low end power
When I lived up there from 89-05, I found tons of poker runs for the bikes in your neck of the woods....they can be fun and are not geared around who goes the fastest...for us old farts not riding a crotch rocket...
Have fun and enjoy,
Ken
No problem, trying to stay electric for the noise and ease of operation while on the lake. Don't need to have the mess of the fuel, starters and all.
Was just curious as to whether you would know what brands to lean towards or which ones to stay away from.
Ken
but you need more rubber on there,
that's like the spare tire on a VW you got there

Alex Marsh said he saw you in port orchard sat night
Tell Alex to put the BONG down... I have not been on travel in quite some time...

VW??
I had some fun with a TDI the other day on the way home...
HEY, I have not heard anything but good about the spec3+ what say you?
Should handle most anything I want to throw at it I have heard....
Best thread on the board, just feel sorry for the poor saps that start reading this at post 1

The 3+ rated at 800TQ should be great for you with near stock drivability. I have been running a regular stage 3 for years and it has held great, but was very finicky with the puck. It's rated at 680 TQ and I have been throwing more that at it almost the entire time it's been on the car. I am upgrading to the SPEC super twin and it should hold great rated at 1300+ TQ. I have heard bad things about SPEC from some F body guys around here, but my buddy owns AZPS (LS1 specialty shop) in Tempe and uses SPEC quite a bit with no problems. Maybe it's the install.

Is that when I spot you a couple car lengths
I just love the LOVE I feel on this board, you guys are fun.
Looks like it will be the spec 3+ with 26 spline, that should handle what I want to do for the immediate future.

Ken I have installed several of the Spec 3+ clutches in Term Cobra's. For the price I would look at one of the Twins coming out for your car. The twins are much more driver friendly then the Spec 3_. They do not rattle your dash loose

BTW I have had one with the brokes T-Brn guide and I think I have another one here now with it broken now(With a Spec 3+).
Take this love to heart. It is from experiance
. Now it pretty much drives like stock, but damn was it a dog to drive breaking in, shifting into even 5th and 6th just cruising it would go CLUNK because it would engage either on or off, no slippage!
