Rott, fair enough with your comments...and I too test drove a WS6 back in the day and was pleased with the fit and comfort. Just was not fast enough for me all kidding aside, both very nice cars and I am glad we can have friendly rival now and then.

Mike, I will look you up that week as I am not sure how my sched is going to pan out yet.

OH, Why are you showing me a pic of the new "chevron" car

Is this the Z version with stripe kit

Seriously, those look "CUTE", and I hope they are fast. We need some competition.

You have to admit, they are twins and that is some funny ****

I am scheduling as we speak a day to go up to my tuner for some work. I want to get a "baseline/stock" dyno done first, and then plan to add a 2.8 upper and a tune just to hold me till I decide which twin screw to go with. Then it will be on. Going to do the same with the "L".

Looking forward to seeing you as I missed you the last time. Wifey and jr. doing well I assume.

Ken

My truck isn't that fast
I mean just becuase it is faster then a stock GTO doesn't make it fast. Well and the fact it tows my 30 foot enclosed to the track..

Did I ever tell you guys about the guy with the Mach 1 (with paper tags) in lake stevens who got OWNED by a black chevy truck from a roll. Sure is hard to get 7,000 plus lbs moving but once it is moving it does pretty well.

If you guys are hitting the track on the 28th, I will pretty much have that night off I believe.

Default Molested with pic

Well folks, my Cobra is no longer a boost virgin.

I spent the better part of the day up at Evolution Performance on Sat in the good hands of Jon L.

This was on a Mustang Dyno so you know how that works with the numbers.

I do have some mods, but this is the first boost adder trip. I rolled into EVO with a K&N cold air, and a Maggie CB, MGW orange, MM SF's, Spec 3+ with steel flywheel, and 18 inch FR500's.

Backed on the dyno and pulled

387 Torque and 381 HP = No tune

Jon flashed me (part of the molestation)

and then pulled

423 Torque and 430 HP = JUST A TUNE
___________________________________
36 TORQUE GAINED 49 HP GAINED..

Clearly Jon KNOWS what he is doing!

Then I went across the street to get a 2.93 (blue of course), TR6's, and a MAC OR H-PIPE installed.

Then back across the street for a another pull or two.

Now on the printout, Fred forgot to change the profile back to my name as they dyno'd another guy while I was getting mods done, it shows up as Kobasic :cryying:

Final result

482 TORQUE 459 HP = modded

Overall a 95 Ft lb torque gain and a 78 HP gain.

Pretty good Saturday for me, now I am ready for the Cotoctin Mountain Race, Greg, you better go faster this year :pepper: :pepper:

Ken

The pic show all three readings overlayed.

This is just the first step, more mods are coming soon. Gotta get it cooler to start with with all the cooling mods...

will keep you all posted..

Sean, what ya think? Jon is tuning his sons 5.0 now and said he is getting pretty good at those... let me know.

Yea I know, this 2.93 was jsut a baby step to pacify me while I decide which twin screw to go with, or maybe even turbo

I will continue to do all of the supporting mods so I can keep throwing more power at it. gotta get a HE, Idlers, etc.., more cooling mods...

I am hooked now and believe I am in trouble just love the way it sounds now with the OR H and Magnaflow CB

Its pretty hard to beat the brutal torque hit of a KB. They sound good with an H-pipe but its more of that muscle car sound than the high rpm scream.

Nice numbers... Id be interested in getting the 5.0 tuned, but it needs some basic maitenence first... Its been sitting for a while but i juts started fixing it up again last week...

Everything was fine when I parked it, when I get back in... The power steering leaks... I have on oil leak from the low level oil sensor... and the blinkers stopped working...and the air bag light came on...

I fixed the blinkers and will be doing the ps pump and or pressure hose in the near future...

Time for a 351 swap...
