Screw that.....gut it, put a big cage in it, leave as little of the factory components as possible and run it into a tire wall at 110mph.

I could say the same about my car if I hadnt altered it, or drove it. Although there were 646 of my exact car produced for 99, its the same thing. Every SLP option available for that year.
Firehawks are more rare but not sure about the 1 of 2.
Nice car should get up to the 25k range is my guess but wont hit the reserve price. But you never know.

I would love to see that. I think someone buying this would not even try and touch any parts. Rather keep it in garage for a lot of years to come. I would personally not get this one. Rather buy a roller and spend this much on it so that i could run into a tire wall myslef

Book rarely applies to a car with such low miles and a devout following, hence the 20,000 dollar bid. If someone comes up to you with a book number in a car like that, you say, does the book tell you where to find an slp 6 speed with 2900 miles?

Still, waaay too much money for what it is.Go tell the bidder to pickup up a first gen camaro.

What car isnt way to much money these days? How much did that car sell for new? In its present condition with 3k miles its worth up to 28k to someone who wants it would be my guess. Insurance wont insure it for that much, but its worht what someone will pay for it.

True.

I would just rather have 28,000 invested in a car that goes up in value.(like a muscle/classic) Just my opinion.

Could any one give me an idea what do ppl do with a car that has like 3k miles in 10 years on it.

I am new so i am not sure how this works. You pay 30k for a car then pay insurance on it for 10 years and then only put 3k miles on it ... I am a little lost .

I meet people a lot that say they "invested" in the car thinking it would become collectible to some great point. Had a guy with an 01 camaro ls1 6 speed vert that though he could get more than he paid for it, with 10k miles on it? I told him he was mistaken and then he got mad. I told him he should keep it and put tons more miles on it and then just sell it after enjoying it.

It is a waste of a new car not to play with it, some exceptions exist, but trailer queens made out of cars that are nearly new is beyond me.

You buy the car and you store it. You have it insured for recreational use and it doesnt cost you much. Some fbodys at Barret Jackson have fetched good money. Some people buy the car simply as an investment and hope it will achieve cult status like the e body's and Superbirds. Which are stupidly priced.

Someone once called this process ( storing and hoping for appreciation in value ) a kind of Red Neck IRA..

Yeh the superbird thing is cool. A 1970 with around 80k miles for over 125K cool. But lets be honest how may cars give that. I still think investing in stocks or something else would be a lot better than buying cars and then garaging them.

Most people pour a lot of money in these old cars so how much are they really making?
