Default I might need a big favor

My dad has taken seriously ill and I might need to drive to Boston. I dont and wont ever fly again so it's not an option. The problem is my rear tires arent the greatest choice to go cross country in. The rain really plays havoc with them. If someone has a set of wheels and tires laying around that I can borrow for the trip it might be an option for me.

My phone is down and the phone company said it wont be fixed until midnight saturday. It not my line its something in a switching station.

Anyway Dad is in an induced coma for double pneumonia and he also has enlarged lymph nodes around his heart and lungs. They've been trying to get a hold of me for a day or two I guess. He's in Maine and it isnt the greatest of states for medical care so I'm pretty ******* worried at this point. I dont know if or when I'll be leaving and I dont have anyone to watch my kids right now so theres a bunch of stuff to think about. I'm not taking them to watch their grandfather die, god forbid, if thats whats going to happen.

If anyone has a pair of wheels and tires that would do the job let me know, maybe we can work something out.

I wish I could help you with the wheels/tires most of my stuff went when I got rid of my F-Body.

I will keep a good thought for your Dad though.

I've got some 16" rims and a pair of new Michelin MXX3's that would need to be mounted on them. They're yours if you need em.

Thank you for all the offers I really do appreciate it. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. He's got a 50/50 chance they said, the next few days should tell what will happen. I might just take the train, it's a long drive alone and my wife isnt thrilled about it. I've done it before but that was a few years ago and I wasn't distraught at the time and gas was a little cheaper.
I just dont fly anymore. It's a personal thing. I used to fly all the time but quit long before 9/11 so no, it's not that.

I had to limit flying well before 9/11 and used to fly from Italy to Sea-Tac once if not twice a month for four years. It has more to do with the probability of going deaf because of cabin pressure and fubar'd sinues so there are plenty of people that just can't fly and haven't for a long time.

Train takes...what, 6 days to get there? Can't remember but it would be still worth heading out as soon as you can. Good chance your Dad is going through more than he needs just to see you again...family tend to do that. Offer is still open if you want the tires
