Brakes Question I have heard that OEM pads are pretty much the best pad that you can buy for our cars as they have plenty of stopping power and low brake dust, but does the rotor you use with them make a difference? If so, which rotors do you all recommend to use with your OEM pads?

If you want to spend the $$ get some stoptech rotors and hats ;-). There are also lots of more aggressive compounds for better bite, but they are going to dust, that's just the tradeoff.

I'm pretty sure ACDelco brakes are made by Raybestos, just their standard ceramic line. So if you go stock you can save a few bucks by hitting up any parts store.

Just a thought, but if your just looking for OEM performance, Powerslot Rotors work good for the cost and I see ALOT of brake jobs ( work as a service writer - NO that does NOT make me a mechanic) and I see ALL the returns.. I urge you to go Bendix or Wagner ( Posi-Quiets or Thermo-Quiets ) quiet, no dust, stops like stock. If you want to go more aggressive, check out Hawk pads etc.. Another good OEM style pad is by a company called Akebono. Good solid OEM pads. Just my .02

I don't know about Wagner or Akebono but I ran Bendix Titaniums on both my stock thirdgen calipers and when I swapped up to the C5 ones. It was an improvement over stock but I liked the Raybestos Ceramics a lot better. The Titaniums had some real funky build up in the groove in the center and didn't seem to grip as well even after building up some heat. :shrug:
