Default For Sale: 2001 Camaro SS

I put this up in the For Sale section as well...............

I figured i'd throw it up for the local guys............hope thats ok

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

2001 Chevrolet Camaro SS
5.7 LS1 V8
6 Speed Manual Transmission

23,xxx original miles
Arctic White w/ Black interior

The car has all options available except Traction Control and Disc Changer. Options include Leather Seats, Premium Sound, A/C, all power options, etc...

The car has been maintained very well and has been garaged the majority of it's life.

Within the last 5,000 miles it has had the oil changed twice with Royal Purple full synthetic oil and has also had the coolant, transmission fluid, and rear differential fluid flushed and replaced with Royal Purple products. Brakes were also flushed and Valvoline full synthetic brake fluid was added. Also, a brand new Optima RedTop battery was installed roughly one month ago. The car has had a full interior and exterior detail done twice in the last 3 months which included waxing of the exterior and treating the leather......

The car will be completely detailed again prior to purchase of the vehicle.....

The car is completely original except for the rear end gears. The stock 3.42 gearing was replaced by a previous owner with 4.10 gearing for performance purposes. This was done at roughly 10,000 miles. Also, the car has been slightly retuned using a Superchips programming unit. The main reason for this is to adjust the speedometer for the aftermarket gears and the eliminate the skip shift feature......

Since owning the car I have taken it to a dragstrip twice and made a total of 4 1/4 mile passes with it. It's best pass to date was a 13.3 at 109 mph. This car is easily capable of a 12 second pass but the stock tires do not provide the traction to do so. With a simple swap of the tires a mid/high 12 second pass could be attained.

Included with the car are the original 3.42 gears, as well as OEM replacement floormats, sun visors, and 3rd brake light still in original packaging. A previous owner worked for GM and purchased all these things so that the originals can be replaced if warn out. I also have all receipts for the work i have had done as well as receipts from the previous owner and a printout of the GM build sheet for the car.......I have also have a clean copy of the CarFax report.

Asking price is $18,000 FIRM

PM me or email me at Bullitt04Mustang@yahoo.com

I will respond as soon as I can

More pictures are available upon request

I paid 17,200 for my 00 WS6 2 years ago from a dealer with just shy of 19,000 miles on it the car was bone stock.
While the car is awesome and 19,500 is most likely reasonable. I don't think you will see that much for it around here.

I have to agree

I sold my 01 Formula with 46k on the clock last year for only $13k after months of listing it.

Good luck though.

I've been chatting with another guy on here about his Z28 and once he returns from Iraq next June I'm probably gonna take it off his hands......

This one will just sit in my garage through the winter and i'd rather sell it and save the money then have it just sit.......

Theres an OBO behind the $19,500 for a reason.....LOL

I've seen several others for sale in the area with more miles and asking prices just north of $20k......

if someone is interested then make a realistic offer and i will consider......

this is my 28th car in 7 years..........i know how the buyin/sellin thing works.....LOL

That's right at the legal limit. If you sell more than 4 a year you can get slammed for being an unlicensed dealership. Whether or not they pay attention that closely I don't know.

well, this year i've sold my 04 Mustang GT and my 00 Audi S4 so if the Camaro sells then it would be the 3rd sale this year............

just a heads up for anyone who might be interested......$18k is my lowest price on this car...........i copied/pasted the ad from craigslist onto here and CL is notorious for lowballers so i priced it a little high on purpose.........

with the car you get OEM replacement floormats, sun visors, 3rd brake light, turn signal flasher unit, and several other brand new/unopened items directly from GM.........these are common things that wear out and when they do you just put new ones right back in.............you also get the original 3.42 gears in the box that only have 10k on them.............again, on top of all of this the car just had Royal Purple oil, trans, diff, and coolant products put in it and Valvoline full synthetic brake fluid...........a brand new Optima RedTop battery was put in 3 weeks ago.............lots of receipts are included as well as GM only paperwork/info that was printed out by the previous owner who worked for GM.........the Superchips programmer is included as well which scans/clears trouble codes and tunes the vehicle..............and you've got the 4.10 gear swap which was performed by a certified GM tech

this is a very clean car with a lot of extras for $18k

You must be high

Private Party value according to KBB is almost $17k.........Add the fact that it comes with all the extra stuff still in the original boxes with receipts and the gears with the Superchips programmer and $18k is a reasonable price.......
