Default What winter Mods are we all doing?

Just wondering what everyone else has planned.

Here's mine,
Tach
2-step
Shoulder belt added bar
Move batt to rear
Remove front sway bar
Heads/Intake L92 and new Fast
3rd stg dry (was wet and never used)
Tranny freshened up
Clutch freshened up
Drag pack if $$ are there
Drag shocks
Poly bushings
Weight removal
full 3" exhaust over axles if $$ are there
and some more or less, lol.

Will need Don's help with roll bar mods, and Ellis for the tranny, but everything else I think I can handle.
Robert

Hmmm still lot's to do on mine:

-Finish porting the L92 head (one finished)
-Install heads
-Acquire L92 rockers/stands
-Verify PTV clearance with current pistons (flycut if nec.)
-Install longblock into chassis
-Acquire engine harness and finish wiring mods needed for LS1 conversion
-Port L76 manifold or purchase FAST LS3/L92 type manifold
-Acquire 90mm TB
-Acquire LS1 T56
-Get car running and tuned
-See how long that 10 bolt lasts.........

March 15th is the scheduled GO time!

well i bought an 02 ss about a month ago that already has a few thing on it. but these are on my list.
1. im stealing roberts idea and going for a LME 408, L92 and hopefully a fast set up. but im going to go a little bigger on the cam and cr.
2. upgrade the nitrous set up to a two stage dry, prob 250-275 hit
3. clean up the engine bay ALOT.
4. shave some weight but not a whole lot.
5. HPTuners
6. and if money and time allows some madman stuff.
im going to be shooting for a full leather, show quality, 9 sec street car.

Meziere water pump
LS6 intake
Nitrous

That's about it... I'm getting ready to sell my house so until then I'm pretty much barred myself from doing mods on the cars.

After I sell the house, though, I might do an engine.

Well I think my winter mods are done after installing the Fast 90/90 setup. It is getting tuned on Friday at Tom's after that....I think its just putting it back together and cleaning it all up. I need to install my wideband gauge and adjust my torque arm but really I think I may have the winter mods done. Only thing I might do is a BMR\Koni setup to raise the car up a bit.

On a side note my mom just picked up an 03 50th aniversary C5 Vert (the marron tan interior one) LOOONG story. It only has 1700 miles on. This mean basically I have a C5 vert since she'll never drive it

I and come next year when I have these two loans payed off, and have more money in the bank, buy another Base model Z28. Without the t-tops. And go all out on it.

corvette: ah...weight reduction and maybe a wideband 02 to get the tune dialed in....gonna see if I can run 11s with just intake & exhaust bolt ons....only need 1/4 second!

68 truck
get the chasis assembled to have a rolling chasis
install the 5.3L and 4L60E
headers
exhaust
rebuild axle (new bearing/seals, new eaton posi)
radiator
fuel tank
plumbing (fuel, brakes)
start on some wiring (engine, battery relocation with shutoff)

then I'll probably start on body work. I have rocker panels, cab corners, floors to replace, then shave the drip rail, firewall, cowl, and fuel filler hole.

So I have plenty of work to do

Well, Ive already started. The SS is in the garage with the top end torn apart. Waiting on a few parts. Head gaskets, Head bolts. and a few other odds and ends. Got my motor mounts done, and while it's up in the air I wil probably do some intense cleaning. Hopefully I will have the money to have Ellis do the Tranny, but we will have to see on that front. Need to weld a bracket for the Harness......... I guess I have alot to do.

Yea, I would like to go bigger cam also. The one I choose was for use with the stock LS6 heads. You know what cam specs yet you'll use?

I also forgot, am upgrading fuel system. Aux inline pump (Bosch) on it's own supply line, which I allready have, 60lb injectors. I'llhave it wired to come on when nitous is activated and should be good to north of 700/750rwhp. If the 60's run out we'll add a BAP and boost the pressure.

Looks like many are planning some big mods, next year will be fun for sure. Now if I can just keep from breaking, lol.
