Well Since I am not going to be able to get my car running this year,
I am going to see if Dan will allow me to take the new car down the track.

So when is CCC going to get serious and have a minimum/maximum dial rule? I mean seriously, I love watching the CCC races until someone pulls up with a 20.00 dial and wins. I'd think a maximum dial of 15.99 would be much more competitive. If it can't run 15's it has no business being in a "race" IMO.
Sorry, rant off...I just had to vent my frustration over Metro trying to screw us on our new contract proposal and the Cavalier of doom set me off.

I am with PNWCC (Pacific Northwest Camaro club) but most of the guys on this site belong to Team northwest Fbody (Northwest Fbody).
Car club challange isnt pricey unless you let it be.
Racing cost about $30-$35 for the tech ticket (which allows you to race)
Then of course the One yearly fee of $10 for the CCCA fees, Then each track charges their own racers/fees. (no more than $10.)
Depends on how fast your car is depends on if you need a helment or not. (personally I beleive if you have glass over your head (no matter if its t-tops,sunroof, moonroof or someone mooning you roof) you should have a helment)
Of course it also depends on how stock your car is. if its stock then it shouldnt be a problem with getting through tech if its been taken care of. If its moded then depends on how far you gone depends on the safety stuff you need.

1st rule you cant run faster than 130mph or run 10.00
after that its got to be 100% street legal If you cant drive it on the street (it just has to hold up to date tabs & reg) then you cant race with us.
then its just like the NHRA rules for the most part.
We race for the fun of it & to give us something to do on thw weekends. We do Not Promote ILLEGAL Street racing.

Yes, watching it is not real exciting, but the only way those cars are really deadly is if the person driving them is amazing on the clock and that car runs the same number every time... I can tell you from experience running that Cavalier, an Alero, and my Colorado that a lot of them are WILDLY inconsistent, though. My Colorado could vary as much as 0.8 seconds between runs.... it was impossible to predict, too.
So the reality ends up being that the slow cars are a lot easier to beat. If you have a consistent car that runs 12-13 seconds, it's a cakewalk. You just cut a good light, get a fender up on them, and they are toast. I look at it as easy points.
So they can bring all the slow cars in and give me easy points any day of the week.

Or you can do what I did, (you really don't want to do this).
Dial time was 12.8, Ended up cutting a faster time at 12.74.
I beat the other car to the finish line, but he got the win.
That was my very first and only time so far of bracket racing here.
Hey does anyone have the videos of those races?? I would love to get a copy of mine. If possible.
Thanks
