Default new toy

I got to drive Dan's Corvette to work LOL,:yahoo: Then Get a phone call, WE can do it. OK what can we do?

(we went to look at a 90 Vette Vert yesterday & we decided we couldnt do it)

The Vette

Then I get another phone call saying that The cavalier just sold $1900 for a car we paid 1100 for lol.

then When I got home Dan said LETS GO.

Got in the car & went to pick up this.

Its a 90 Corvette Vert, with 80400 on the odom & runs like a top, she did throw an egr code, plus always has the seat belt light on. Plus a few minor problems all fixable by us. Total out the door 11k. Sweeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttt

I have a 90 Vette that has some of the same problems. Always has a seatbelt light on the inst cluster and on the dash display.
Turns out a failed sensor called a airbag deployment duram was at fault.
Only problem is that they are no longer available.
I purchased one from a local used parts dealer and spent a fortune to disassemble the dash and have it installed only to find out the new, used one is inop as well.
Now that the dash has been reassembled, the tach doesn't work properly any more.
Not sure where to go now. Love the car but what do do about parts?????

Also, these cars have a thing about temp sensors. Makes the car run rough and throw service codes....
Mine also eats catalytic converters and O2 sensors.
Latest is the heater defroster fan runs all the time even with the ignition off.
Suppose to take it in this week to have it checked out.

Geeze....I'm getting scared to drive the thing now. BUT...It's a fun ride and
handles and performs well.
I'm keeping mine no matter what.

Yea I know & with only 80k on the clock its even harder to find these.

We believe she was in storeage for a while, there is slight mold on the pax side of the car & the back window was really nasty.

Ran into a 93 Teal, w/ white top vert C4 at the Vette show at Lee J's in Kirkland today. 12,000 original miles. Immaculate car. The rear plastic window was original and looked new. No creases and perfectly clear. He would always garage the car and when the top was down he placed a blanket inside the fold of the rear plastic so it wouldn't rub and scratch. Only wanted 16k I believe. Nice car.
