While it may be humorous (to some) to make fun of Obama for his name I don't think its appropriate for it to be brought into a political debate. Most of the crap on the internet is just BS started to discredit a hard working guy, that while I don't care for and would never vote for, doesn't deserve it. If any of it is found to be true then so be it and he should be punished for any wrongdoing. Hell there is an organization of Vietnam Vets dedicated to ruining McCain. It just BS to bring up nontrue or scandelous unfounded things into the debate about out next President or Vice President regardless of who it may be.

You might be right... But in the end, it really doesn't matter. Cause all this talk and hype about what they are going to do for our country will be lost and forgotten once that party is nominated.. Thats politics.

Donnie, I don't remember where I got it. I would have attributed it if there had been any.

Women have actually outnumbered men, percentage wise, at the polls nationwide since 1980 and they are predominately Democrat as well. The numbers are kind of crazy. If only women had been counted in 2000 Al Gore would of won 54% to 43% with the remainder voting for another candidate. Unfortunately they haven't warmed up to Palin as much as was hoped. So yea we are fucked.

Yeah, but if it were by the women it just wouldn't seem so bad.

Seemed like they were trying to undo SOME of that crap last night. I wish McCain would have condemned the people at Palins rally that were shouting "terrorist" & "shoot him" whenever she mentioned Obama instead of saying all their supporters were good American patriots. That kind of radical stuff is dangerous....

But I thought both guys stated their positions very well on many issues. Should be very interesting.

It seems to me that the economy has been the BIG issue of the whole campaign, and I haven't heard or read (not that I'm doing much reading about either of them), but what is each of their plans for Iraq and Afganastan?

Obama - Surrender

I support John McCain!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and Joe the plummer!!!!!!!!

Seriously... though... you don't want to raise taxes in a rescission.

Raising taxes is the sure fire way to turn change a rescission into a depression.

Personally I think its rather slim pickens out there for the presidential position. I don't like neither one of them boys, its the lesser of the two evils.

So why are you voting for McCain, then? It's Obama whose plane is to cut taxes for you -unless you make more than 250K a year.

If you are referring to corporations, US corps already pay the second lowest effective rates in the world at 4.8% -second lowest to that industrial powerhouse, and now bankrupt state, Iceland.

Or maybe you prefer trickle down economics...

Please.

It's more like..

McCain = continue bankrupting the country over a war we shouldn't have started in the first place.

Obama = end the Iraq war and actually focus on catching bin Laden.

Might as well get used to saying "President Obama"... because he is going win. Even if you vote for McCain, this is a blue state, and the electoral votes are going to Obama.

The state of Washington doesn't control the Electoral College, thankfully. As far as the rest of your post you have your opinions but I'll say you aren't as informed as you maybe should be.

Like Vietnam, a military solution is not possible in Iraq, so framing this question as "winning or losing" is grossly simplistic. For every militant extremist we kill, and for every day we spend in Iraq, we encourage more ordinary Muslims to join the extremists.

We refused to acknowledge the same issue in Vietnam where the CIA estimated we were killing 1,000 civilians a month and increasing the number of Vietcong in the process. As we fought, the enemy actually got stronger, not weaker. The Army learned this lesson and advised the Bush admin. that the same situation would occur in Iraq. Ultimately the generals who opposed the conduct of the war were sacked (7 generals).
